Since the Mad Max GB idea sort of fizzled out, I tried thinking about how to incorporate that idea into another proposal. I went to couple other model sites and looked at their past builds and came up with this idea.
An Armoured Car Group Build, but one with VERY liberal guidelines.
1) Any military AC from any era. 2) Any civilian AC such as Brinks trucks, Gangster's cars, or Presidential limos. 3) Any fantasy or Sci-Fi AC such as Mad Max mods or even an AC like the one in Aliens.
This would open up the field to military modelers, civilian specialists, Sci-Fi and fantasy geeks, and even scratch-builders.
Any thoughts???
EDIT: Just thought of a couple more categories:
4) Any law enforcement AC from any country...SWAT, ATF, etc. 5) Any improvised AC from any era such as Afghan or Syrian civilian cars modified with armor.

I think it's a fun idea, I don't have anything suitable though...

Sounds like a good idea. Let's hear from the members. How about, folks?

Bummer...
I did a quick survey and think I have 15 or 16 kits that would qualify. However, looks like I might have to wait for another proposal.

Only thing I have with any armor on it is an Aerosan... no wheels, skis... and the front is the only armor plate on it, lol!!!

Cool, John! Yes, all those would fit the "liberal" rules.
The whole point was to try to pick something that nearly everyone could get in on.

Cool, as well, Joe. I've heard that's a pretty good kit...and it is most definitely armoured!!!
Let's see how many folks we can get (3 so far) and then hash out some dates. I was initially thinking of 1 January for the earliest start date and maybe something like 30 May for an ending, but everything is still up in the air.

As long as there's sheet styrene available, the possibilities to "armor" a vehicle are just about endless. Any type of apocalyptic armored car could be thought up. If I can manage the time, I have a couple things in mind. Let the "Start-and-End-Date" discussions begin!!!
