Star Wars Legion AT-RT

Found this little guy yesterday when I went to get lunch for my wife and drop it off to her at work. The local comic book store is right next to the sub shop she ordered from, so I figured I would go in and poke around for a minute. Discovered they have a Citadel paint rack, so that was cool. Then spied this.....it is for a game, and seems to be about 1/32 - 1/35 scale. Kind of a cool thing, so I grabbed it to support a local merchant, as I could get it cheaper on amazon....but then I would have to wait for it.....instant gratification and all that kicked in   I have never been too into sci-fi models, until recently….I don't know if it nostalgia, senility, or the kits are better/ more interesting than they used to be.....but anyway, I digress.



There isn't much to  the kit, but it is still pretty decent, it comes with a rider and three types of weapons choices; flame thrower, laser cannor, and gattling gun type arrangement. I think I will go for the Gatling gun.

 


The kit also comes with some cards and tokens that are relevant to playing the game, but really don't have any meaning to me.

My kids play this game and build the kits all the time!!! You will have fun!!!

Got the basic painting done. The kit has no decals, so the green markings were painted on.








And then a wash, and light drybrushing to pick up the edges and help blend the shading together.





I kind of like the way it is turning out so far. Still more weathering to do, but I am hopeful I may be able to get this finished up before the end of the month.

I like it! Your wash and dry-brushing sure brought this to life! Way to go on the green markings too. They look exceptional.

Ohhh she's becoming a dirty girl!    I've been having a lot of fun adding some weathering to the AT-RT!















I added some detail to the instrument panel using some switch decals, and for the center screen I stuck on a photo etched radar screen, then added a decal to the screen to make it look like something was there and the covered that with a layer of MIG Crystal blue, mixed with some clear so that the decal is still visible making look like there is something actually on the screen.





I also got a small piece of mahogany cut, edges routed and polyurethane applied for the  base, hopefully I can get the beginning of some ground work laid down on the base before leaving for work.

Brilliant work! Man, that looks amazing! I love the radar screen. The weathering looks like it's been based on a tropical/jungle planet. Magnificent!
