With the Wildcat complete I'm going from PTO to the Eastern Front. I'll be starting on it this evening.

Jcon Always glad to have you along buddy. Work on the hull has begun. The kit glacis plate is replaced by the Atak resin part with zimmerit molded on. The left and right hatches are molded separately.
The Atak Zim fits with very little fuss. I have attached the zim with Gator Glue. The rear hull plate with zim applied. The travel stops are a two piece assembly. The bogie stations have holes molded to represent bolt holes should you want to remove one....say for a maintenance dio. I hadn't realized that the final drive housing has castle nuts molded on. I know that Dragon has a bad rap for it's instruction sheets, but I have to say that this is going rather nicely.

Dukemaddog Thank you kindly my good man. Jcon Thank you my friend. Not worries, It'll take a fair bit more than that to scare me away. Keith Thank you for your praise and support. Jeff Glad to have you along my good man. Armorguy Zim is to armor, like invasion stripes are to air craft. At least to me it is. Thank you for your vote of confidence. Cliff Thank you very much my good man. I'll just build along until something doesn't look right. I'm always going into Dragon kits with eyes wide open. The zim is just about done. Only the rear fenders and schürzen remain to be coated. I had found a couple of pics in my reference book where the schürzen have a zim coating. The requisite bouquet of road wheels. I'll be using Mission Models paint of this build. So far so good.

True but you wouldn't want that bare metal allowing magnetic charges to stick...
