1:1 build update:
Been a busy weekend for me, trusses rolled, fascia board up and one bay closed out, 4 more to go. Will it ever end?
P.S. Yall are a making me wonder! My wife helped me roll the first four trusses on Monday. She's 5'4", 120lbs, and only 6 months younger than me. Where were yall, eatin bananas again? You tough guys!

Yes it will end. And wow, what a magnificent job you and your wife did. Commendations on finding such an incredible woman!
Where am I? Sitting at home trying to stop the bleeding and wondering when I'll be healthy enough to actually work so I can see what money looks like again. Seeing all that great woodwork and knowing I can't participate brings me to tears...

You are on a roll Ma Brotha, and milk that shoulder. No need to push the healing process. I knew yall were there in spirit, but my bananas kept disappearing. Was Bucky anywhere near by?
Yes, my little woman is a keeper. Heck, she puts up with me, right? HA!
Cheers, Ski.

Hey if I could justify a working holiday I'd be on a plane toot sweet to help Now that is mighty kind of ya Jed. Heck, I'd even feed ya. My boys work for food, if they ever show, lol.
Ah, my son did help and got a nail from the gun bounce off his palm, luck of the draw in this sport. Ya know, if it ain't a splinter it's a nail or a hammer to the finger tips, what a hoot!
Back at it Monday AM.

Yes, Kirt, fine lad he has grown to be.
Purlin brackets went in today along with gravel in the hay bay. Purlins up tomorrow along with hurricane brkts on soffit runs, side boards in the hay bay, cleats on X braces and sheeting by Tues, hopefully. Pics to follow.
I just saw the hay was put down in the field which means I have two, maybe three days, to dry in the hay side of this barn. Metal arrives on the 9th, so back to tarp technology, if need be.
We are getting close to the end Ma Brothas. Keep them bananas coming Bucky!

Weekend up date:
I sheeted the roof Thursday and the hay was ready Friday. Talk about making it by the skin of me teeth. All that hustle and bustle finally paid off. There's still plenty to get done, but now the pressure is off and I can take my time. I'm just glad the hay is in, it's getting bloomin hot out here now, lol.
Duke, this is a hurricane bracket. I decided not to install them, it would be serious overkill. I'll keep them for the horse trailer cover.
Cheers, Ski.
