AMT may have cobbled their instructions from two or three other kits with flathead engines. The engine part sure doesn't look like Lindberg's.

I'm in on this. Joe, all the trouble you're having with the engine is normal. Ford engines never made any sense.

Thanks Gentlemen!!! Jeff the problems are typical AMT lack of decent drawing which Prof has referred to before and terrible attachment points that don't line up so I ended up cutting most off and just putting it together without them... the two on the back of the heads don't even fit in the cylinder holes where they belong, lol!!! But I am beating it into submission!!!

Remember I told you they had the exhaust sides mixed up on the engine... well the mufflers need to be switched also from what the pictures show or they won't fit the frame and the positions of the exhaust... the drawings are backwards but the numbers here are correct unlike the engine numbers!!! I stuck my engine in to make sure and I have it right with my switching them... here is a pic for you so yours will fit...

When you get to the step where you put the exhaust pipes on do them before the rear end goes in place and then add the cross bar as the pipes run under both of those... Here she is now, engine is just sitting there for fit... the white area at the front needs to be painted the body color as the top of it will show behind the bumper...
