OK, so here I am, while doin the body, customer come's over, says how would it look if say I just glued the hood down, make it curbside, but kewl, I already told him how much it would cost, I cut him a killer deal less then half the price at auction, he just about swallow'd his face, that's before I got this far, I mean ya all know the plan, right?, build it my way, and look kewl, no biggie, I told him paint, runs from about 90.00 to 120.00, and that's just the paint!, and yet he is getting more then that for less then the paint, yeah I told him my plan's, but when he just about swallowed his face, I'm using all my own stuff, cept the kit, which he bought, and now there on sale at Hobby Lobby, so what do I do, buy a new kit, and give it to him and inform him " I hope ya kept the receipt, so's ya can get yer money back" and just finish this one, and auction it off? I'm not about to put some good work, and parts from another build for nickles and dimes, give it back, and tell him, "Here you finish it" sooo again, further behind again dealing with a,

Gotta find one I like first. I do have the ‘56 gasser that was a basic junkyard model. What I think I am going to do with that one is remove the tires, paint it rust, maybe break something and display the monster truck with the front tires resting on it. Not sure yet though.

But then again that IS a decent ‘56 body. May just hold it back until I can find a different engine and suspension to turn it into a custom cruiser never did like the idea of that car as a gasser anyway!

NEXT!!!! You got a kit you'd recommend Joe? Think I'm going to strip apart my '56 gasser this week and see what I have. Have my eye on some junk yard parts, may try my hand at a custom build with all ya'all's help. But, if you had a kit you'd recommend. I found a few today but they came with the V-6 and who really wants a V-6 in their '57 Chevy?
May be time to look up some overhaulin' episodes and see if the '56 has ever been Foose'd!

Those are nice! There may be 1 or two mopar worth looking at. old school challenger and charger, roadrunner maybe. Love the Chevelle's! My wife and I have had an ongoing feud. If we ever have money, we want a classic to build together. She wants a 'Vette, Camaro SS or old Shelby Mustang. I told her I wanted a '69 C/K 10. haha!

When I bought my sport trac in 2002, I had the chance to buy two cars for less than I bought this truck new. A '67 red mustang convertible and a 1998 F-250 extended cab 4x4 with the plow. At the time though I was driving 45 miles one way to work at a high school--didn't think either would be practical! Besides, I didn't have a garage, and who gets a '67 'Stang without a garage?

My wife collects fabric for her stash so she doesn't say anything about my much smaller stash of kits... LOL!!! She has her east wing sewing studio and the west wing long arm quilting machine studio... I have the small room in the middle, ha, ha!!!

Yeah, I'm always too "sensible" with purchases! haha! As it is, I've had the ST for 16 years and it turned over 222k today. Still mostly original parts--drivetrain is 90% original.
