USS Missouri. Best I can tell, this is a 1987 Revell kit H301. Only built a hand full of Water Craft Vehicles in my day, but this one is most memorable, thanks to my thoughtful Brother-in-law.

I can't hold my breath that long. This kit has some minor warp issues, thus far, but it couldn't take that much to build a boat, right?

I built the USS Wisconin variant of this kit when I was a kid. A little clay ballast in the belly and it was a good bathtub toy. That is, until I sent it on a voyage down the creek behind out house one stormy winter's day as a teenager. It disappeared in the roiling waters. I found it again in the summer of that year, bow-down in the muck a couple of hundred yards downstream with only about four inches of the stern visible. Aside from the masts, which were missing, it was remarkably intact. I pulled it out and cleaned it up, and later decided that it's adventures weren't over. One day I took it to a nearby pond, taped an Estes D12-3 rocket motor on the stern, and lit it off. The mighty battleship surged forward, and came up on plane like it was pulling half the crew as skiers at fifty knots. That was in the first couple of seconds. Then the bow caught air, and the ship corkscrewed into the air and nosed down. It was still under thrust when it hit the water fifty yards out. The pond still exists, and my battleship is undoubtedly there still, buried under several feet of sediment.

What if I launch it in my shower? About halfway built, but a lot of clean up to go. Also, need the fix some hull to deck issues.

Well. It won't fit in my Kitchen Sink. Already tried. Some of the cast parts are off by 1/32 of an inch. Going to have to sand and scape them down. How many inches would that be @ 1/750 scale Joe? Added some clay to the hull for ballast and to help spread a few places to fit the Deck.
