Coming along quite well I see. Hopefully by now you're done amplifying virus; it's being said this is a rather bad flu season this year

Jcon Thank you brother. Mark Thank you kindly. I survived the flu. Now it's just the darn cough that's lingering. Ogrejohn Thank you very much my good man. Carl Thank you kindly my good man. Yup. I painted the backside of the lenses. Jeff Thank you very much. Bruce Thank you for the compliment. Doogie Thank you kindly. Steve Thank you for having a gander my good man. Feel free to appropriate anything you read here. I got the tracks built and painted. These pics are prior to the washing and weathering.
Here is the left sided dry fit after some washes. The ends are not joined yet, but this track run isn't going anywhere. The instructions call for 81 links per side, and they are correct. There is some touch up painting to happen, but that will have to wait.

Dave, those tracks look grand. Did you paint the pieces separately and then assemble them?

Carl As do I. They are well engineered. Keith Thank you kindly my good man. Jcon Thank you brother. McB It's good to see you around. Thank you very much my good man. Bruce Thank you very much. Jeff Thank you for the compliment. Everything was painted after assembly. I painted the end connecters and guide horns first. To paint the track pads, I ran some masking tape along the end connecters, and masked the guide horns with a 3x5 card. The track take a bit to build but they are worth the effort.

Now that's clever, for years I've been painting track details with the hair stick I'll have to try this technique
Splendid work sir
