The biggest pain encountered in diorama making is the groundwork and painting drying phases which requires one to go in start stop increments. So, while the M-60 and T-62 project is drying and I have bench time I decided to start this

So far it seems to be a pretty good little kit that does not fight you on assembly. It's well engineered and includes quite a bit of fine detail that I don't normally associate with Academy kits. This is fairly close to interior paint time

There you go, Mark. Nice choice, Dude. I've only built one Academy kit. Their Gulf War Sheridan. It was an awesome kit to build. Got this one bookmarked.

Thanks gents
The first whoops has been discovered. They give you a sprue of 3 inch ammo tubes for the hull racks but they are all too short. I'll remake them from appropriate size styrene tube.

Not gonna go overboard on the interior as when the upper hull and crew get placed much of it will be hidden

Thanks gents
I cannibalized this from a stalled project that will never get back underway due to lack of interest and a lousy model kit (not sure which comes first)

So the shelf queen shelf grows emptier, the M-10's got a base, and the garbage bucket gets a bit fatter. Win win win

Mark, are you sure about those ammo tubes? There are two pieces to each, and they should fit fine. This is how they look in a dusty old relic of the Academy M10 I built years ago:
