Not weird. All their first 1/72 scale armor was done with metal bodies. Check it before you build it though, some of their metal bodies in their kits were notorious for crumbling into powder.

So I did, is that good? doesn't sound like it.

Anyhoo, not much progress this afternoon, turret base got the gun mount installed, the top got some holes drilled in it and not much else except for a sticky out bit for the commander figure to position on.

Found 'em.

Tamiya's 1/48th Autoblinda, metal lower hull.

Tamiya's 234/2 Puma. All plastic.

Nice to build. The only problem I remember is having to wrap the Puma's lower and upper hull with rubber bands after I glued them together to keep them in place. Bit of a warp issue.
