One of our fine members has asked about the prospects of doing a WOT Group Build. Including the finish and weathering of WOT. Here are some examples: Build a WOT style tank and shoot photos with a fitting background ! What do you guys think? If it's a go, we'll come up with a timeline. Thanks, in advance, for your consideration!

It sounds like a fun concept but out of my stash I have nothing that will work and so I will watch from the sidelines if this is a go...

I like the idea although I don't play the game it would encompass virtually everything tank. Also there are really no special or niche requirements for the GB apart that is for a suitable backdrop for the finished build pics.

Armorguy brought this proposal to my attention earlier today. Even tho a builder might not play the game, I think plenty reference would be available to pull it of!!

Indeed I think there is even a WOT encyclopedia on line which gives you info on the tanks in the game.

I'll have to see more on the idea, but sounds intriguing.

I'll continue listening but I'm not sure as I've got a lot going on in my mind at the moment and I don't want to cause an overload

I'm not saying, "No" either, but I won't build "Paper Panzers" from any country. My long range goal is to build at least one real example of every tank from WWII.
I'd really have to do some research before committing.

AG, we have some interest in this subject. It might be time for you to lay out some guidelines on this Group Build. Then, we can come up with a timeline.

here's a "tankopedia" for WOT. If you can find it here then you can build it! Already got my entry bookmarked WOT TANKOPEDIA

What do you think of these guidelines fellers ? - pick a tank or riding artillery piece no matter the era, - tracked or wheeled go for it, - paper panzers are also possible, you're 100% free, - 1:35, 1:48, 1:72,...it's all possible, - try to catch the typical WOT colour and weathering, - shoot photos of your finished model on a clean background, - ...(suggestions ?) Maybe 6 months running time ? This kit is my choice : I'll try to make photos of all of the paint and weathering processes. Best regards !
