Here is MPC's Dodge Shelby Charger. When MPC first released this kit, it was as the 1980 Dodge Omni 024. In '80, the only engine that was offered in the coupe was VW's 1.7 liter fuel sipper. By the mid '80s, Chrysler dropped the 024 name and replaced it with Charger. The Shelby edition was top of the line, with an intercooled turbo 2.2 liter engine which really made it a pocket rocket. When MPC updated the molds for the Shelby, they didn't do anything to the powertrain in the kit, just the body. I knew as rare as these kits are, I might as well make one right, so I used an MPC Daytona kit as an engine donor. The transplant from one kit to th other wasnt too bad, just did some figuring, and it came out pretty good. Painted Testors "colors by Boyd" True Blue Pearl, and Duplicolor Arctic silver on the ground effects panels, the rest of the silver over the hood, top and rear are the kit's decals, then cleared with Testors Model Master clear. Hope you like

I have tried to email him, but the emails come back as undeliverable. That's a shame, really.
