That's why there are still lots of these kits around. That and they were re-issued. Scored this kit a few years ago on Ebay. It was just a few buchs, because it was a glue bomb kit, where they had already started gluing it together and such. Even had a cute note in it from the seller, thanking me for buying it and hoped I'd enjoy it. Thanks Loni! I am enjoying it. Started gently prying apart the pre-glued parts to day, to access what needs to be done. Will try and make theis CO2 cartridge fired kit into something special to add to my Salt Lakes Cars builds.

The first thing I notice is the flash, tree marks and sink holes in this kit. Need to sand fill and sand some more.

Nice start on this one, Bruce! Aren't glue bombs fun? Has the cartridge been discharged? If not, don't set it off around the workbench! Talk about clearing off the bench!!!!

Thanks Bucky. Like your new Avatar! It didn't come with either the JETEX 50B Rocket or CO2 Catridge. The CO2 cartridge is from my pellet gun and doesn't fit. The kit does come with a foil lined Paper Shield and 2 Asbestos Washers ( Which I picked up with tweezers and placed in a Zip Lock bage.) Such a safe little Science project for out Kiddies, such as me in 1951. You could either launch this car on a string mounted to the side, which would go in a circle or on the bottom with a straight line tied to bricks on either end to stop it, once you punctured the CO2 cartridge with you little handy Dandy firing pin. ( Which could be purchased from your Hobby Store at the time.) It's a wonder any of us have survived Childhood:)

You just gave me an idea for another thread!! Did you have on your Hazmat suit when you picked up the asbestos washers? Didja call OSHA? Didja spray down the workbench with a garden hose? LOL Some of the things us kiddies were expected to play with, back then!!!!

Yes I did Bucky. Being a Foreman of a HAZMAT Team, I immediately secured the area, contacted the EPA, covered my entire work area with plastic film, turned on my Hepa Vac, sprayed the washers with a mixture of water and detergent to encapsulate the nanomicrofibers, which may cause Cancer in 20 years from me opening the box, a few years ago, in a muck, so as to protect myself from any other contaminants, which may cause Cancer in California. So I'll start to work on the model again as soon as the EPA, Hazmat, OWASHA, Local Enforcement ant the TAX Auditor say it's safe for me to work on this model kit again. ( So, I guess this will be the end of this build for a few years. See you all in Court. That was a fun project, huh Kids?? www.superiorclean.com/mildew-removal/?gclid=CjwKCAjw0qLOBRBUEiwAMG5xMK2Qcmd7zZysJW1bjqVJtmbV3t0XXWkY0s5XGCkh9PlVJyRK0MIS6RoCNGgQAvD_BwE

I had to go thru all sorts of asbestos removal during my years in the construction business. Hopefully, it won't delay your build of the Firebolt! Carry on, if you dare!

He's still waiting for the Haz Mat Team to show up.I have them safely contained till they get here to start the clean up procedures. This $10 kit is going to cost me a fortune!
