So, I bought this kit at Ollie's for a DEEEEEEP discount price. I didn't think I would ever build it, tho. Then, at another site, There was this "Out of Comfort Zone" Group Build planned. Then, I figured I might as well try it. Here goes: These are the parts that were in the box: This is the little crawler dozer that pulls the launcher. It is 1/48 scale, next to Lo-Velle, a 1/24 scale Chevelle wagon: Part of the launcher assembly: More at a later time.

I added strips to the inside edge of the fuselage where the joint will be: Stuck the two halves together, and used some high tech clampage: Here's tek nickle stuff: This is the portable ladder for working on the missile: Which can be raised or lowered: This is a test fit, showing the size of this 1/48 scale missile. Imagine if it was 1/25 scale: Crawler, with vinyl tracks: Some glorious gray stuff: And the all-important snack: More a bit later.

How 'bout a red missile? With a side order of white stripes: You want more stripes? Okay: The red color and white striping were only used on test missiles. The actual missiles meant for deployment were painted a silver/gray, with very minimal markings. These missiles never were used against an enemy, and were phased out due to newer technology. More to come......

I've seen a lot of reference pics with that yellow equipment sitting around. I'd say, if these missiles had ever been put into service, the launchers and transports would not have been bright yellow!

I think they used the yellow for safety reasons as you couldn't miss it... like yellow safety strips by Osha...
