Hello. Name is Rick and just landed with a thud from Modelworx and northwest Arkansas. Been playing with plastic for about 50 years or more. Started with planes and made the genre rounds before coming back to flyers. Mainly focus on WWII stuff but most recently grabbed a couple early jets for a change of pace as well as working on a couple of prop shelf queens to free up some space. Not the fastest builder by no means, just trying to learn a thing or two with each one I build.

He's pretty close, Ski! I've been at it since about 1963! Dang Bucky, you got me beat. I was born is 62, HA! Hats off to all our honorable senior modelers, as in seniority, not age. This Sport never gets old, so neither do we, right? If you have any doubts, just ask my wife.

Dang guys! Up to this point I've done a decent job of living in denial of old fart-itis. Next I'm gonna have to face reality and acknowledge my C.R.S. is isn't a figment of my imagination. It's not so bad yet that I can't remember my first kit. It was about 1963 too and it was Hawk brand seaplane molded in bright orange plastic. My first glue tube was about as big as my arm and had a big thumb screw to close the end. I didn't like the orange color so I pulled out my school watercolor paint set and tried to paint it. 😳 Despite that experience, I'm still building today. Just with a smaller tube of glue.

My first kit was a HAWK, too, but it was a little Studebaker Lark hardtop that had a rubber band to wind up and let it scoot across the table, or floor! 8 years old when I did that, with Dad's help!
