Notified the HR Dept that my last day will be 12/15/2017

Cashing in my chips after 40 years with the same company.Fortunate to have a decent pension,I must pay a small premium to keep my healthcare going,got my 401k,and in two years social security will kick in for both of us,so we decided it was a good time for me to get out.

Good for you ! It'll be an entirely new experience Anthony .

I "retired" back in 1998 at age 53 . The company I worked for gave me a cash out so I had to wait till I was 62 to get early social security .It all worked out for the best .
