Jerry, that sucks! The roof blue that wouldn't happen to be "Krylon" by chance? Krapon paint doesn't play well with others!!!! -I have had that happen with just about every time I've used Krylon on a model and I've actually boycotted it due to that as I prefer Testors or Rustoleum! Let me guess, ir orange peeled after you clear coated it with gloss coat or lacquer clear coat?

The roof is painted with Testors sky blue, (airbrushed) , then cleared with Krylon Colormaster acrylic crystal clear. What I don't understand is why half the roof and not the complete roof?

Thats Krylon for ya! Seriously, That Krylon paint if you EVER use any other paint do NOT use Krylon with it! It does this EVERY TIME I've ever seen someone use it, UNLESS looking for that effect.
And then thats just it, the area it bubble, only half way, is because the amount sprayed, you were just light enough on the other side to NOT effect it, but heavy enough on the side where it lifted! The paint is VERY unpredictable that way! Sadly, I have Krylon paint in the shop, and sadly won't be a paint I'll be using on my models UNLESS its the only color that part of the model will be getting..... THEN "maybe". the wife uses it way more then I do but shes not using it in the same way I would be so it works for her projects!

Sorry to hear about yer paint troubles, Jerry. I'm making note of the perils of Krylon for future use. I have some of it in my hobby room.

Bucky, Be sure to only use Krylon with KRYLON..... Or you'll run into the very same thing Jerry did! (I too have some of it in my shop!)

Unfortunately, this Poncho was used in a speed test, it failed, wall won. Picked up the pieces and tossed them back in the box. Surpisingly nothing broke, it just exploded.
