Hey guys... just wanted some advise on airbrush and compressors. What's recommended? Planning on purchasing a new setup soon.

All depends really, what ya planning to spend? I guess thats asking what your "budget" is on an air brush! You can go from say $30 for a basic cheapo to the more expensive $250+ ones! (I actually got 3 compressors for Air brushing and 4 air brushes and one mini-grit blaster (air brush size) sand-blast type gun and I don't think I've got $250 in all of it! My "choice" air brush I paid $179.99 for it on sale with a coupon 9 or 10 years ago..... Sold regular price back then of $230!

Brand, I know I'm gonna get bricks tossed or whipped at me, (I'm old school) I use and LOVE my Badger 250-2. Dual action why its the "-2" model. BUT they aren't the new hype I guess..... Most guys are going after the Iwata, Paasche, Aztec etc, those are all big dollar stuff, BUT if it were me starting out buy 2 of them, get a El Cheapo to learn on, and then graduate yourself to the more expensive one! I learned old fashioned too, on a Dual Action Badger 250-2, 2 decades ago or longer (its been awhile) and I've loved how the Badger works, cleans up and mine in 12 years has only given me very little trouble (It broke down one time) and I use it at least once a week, and in recent times more like once a day! And been used like that since the day I bought it.
Granted, I didn't mention compressors, those are all "second-hand" items, I pick them up along the way from yard sales, garage sales and anything in between as you can get a NEW one from Harbor Freight Tools right now I THINK for $69. and thats not bad! Its silent, and oilless, so works well and it comes with a pressure switch built in, as well as an "air dryer" built right into the compressor to keep any and all moisture OUT of your air line to not get mixed in with the paints you use, water base acrylics isn't effected all that much, but solvent based paints it RUINS a finish if water get in it!
I'm currently using one of Harbor Freight Tools compressors as I like to air brush when I'm up late at night and because its a silent running compressor, makes that possible and not wake my whole house in doing so!
So if you got a good one and quality is in mind, go the best you can! The better quality you buy, the more you'll get out of it!
