A bout 2 years ago I began remodel my work benches in my shop..... It "WAS" a mess (still sort of is!) BUT there will be a few things to gain doing this. One, I'll have a dedicated area for different things, such as my shop computer, spray painting, machine tools, electronic, etc.... The number two thing I'll gain, is organization, and some "space"!!!! So, I'm not sure I had said it before, but, my shop is on the 3rd floor of our home, which originally, was a "storage area" I had a choice, either the basement, or the 3rd floor. I choose the 3rd floor as the basement has Granite foundations most of the "walls" SO I'd had to stud out the entire "area", and at the time, I didn't and still don't have the funds to do such. SO at that time, I took the attic, I got a window, and a nice A/C up there, and its unheated but, if the lower door is left open it gets 65 degrees OK in the winter (real cold, I have an electric heater for up there for a cubical that does well and goes "off" when the lights go out and in the summer I put it away! The A/C, is on a different circuit that remains "powered" like a regular room outlet so......... BUT the walls up there are old horse hair plaster and lath. NOT in the best of shape BUT gave me something to mount things to on the wall without having to stud out the walls like the basement would have been! ANYWAY, I have NOT refinished the walls, it be a lifetime to allow me to get the needed materials for that plus, I rent, (my land lord is AWESOME and is OK with the whole thing as I have shown to him. But anyway, I had old dressers for benches, and storage, and placed them as I could (in a hurry) when we first moved in, NOW some 5 or 6 years later, I'm rebuilding them, to my own spec with my own set up to be more user friendly, and have some sort of order, and some sort of organization to them. SO, I took this: Computer area kinda "stuffed" into the far right corner, next to the storage shelving on its left..... to this: NOW, the storage shelving will remain where it was originally placed on the left of the computer area..... BUT the right of the computer area was, well. something in-question..... It did look like this: WHAT a MESS! BUT it worked for the time, NOW I'm a bit more organized..... That picture is an old one! This is what it looked like a few years later: I merely worked off the "corner" of that low dresser seen here. THEN..... just yesterday, this is that SAME area/location: STILL as of yesterday, a dang mess! TODAY however, DIFFERENT story: Starting to look a bit better! As for the computer area, I took the old computer "desk" (if thats what ya wanna call it, and used it for parts, and a LOT of it went through my table saw...... thats how I built all of this: Top "draw "in" Lower "draw" (keyboard, shelf) "out"..... Keyboard still out, and top shelf only out half way! Was FUN making that all "work" but, looks pretty good! NOT finished tho...... I may paint some of that bare wood, BLACK to match the rest of it to hide it a bit, just for "looks" sake! MORE to follow these short messages!

Then you have other areas of my shop.... this is the Machine "area" currently: This is my Unimat.. It transforms from a Metal Lathe to a Milling Machine..... Seen here its the lathe! Now its the Milling Machine..... I use this machine A LOT, (I love this little thing I have to say!!!!!!) This "area" is going to be re-located..... Its going to sit on a newly built bench, here: Right on the end/corner of the new bench I plan to build! I'll be also making a cabinet, that will mount on the wall right about where the black one is hanging now! To the left of this tool, there will be a drill press, between the Unimat and the computer area. The computer area, however is 6 inches higher then the machine bench, AND will have a section of plexiglass separating the 2 areas to keep "chips from the computer! The whole "wall" tis machine is at right now, is a total mess. Mix matched shelving, bench work, you name it, I just can't live with it like that anymore..... See: A few years ago..... Today...... Yep, thats ALL gonna change! So far..... This is how it looks with the bench I currently use and the new computer area, with tools relocated notice the Dremel suspended from the ceiling..... That is a Dremel Flex Shaft seen next to the little bench seen here! ALREADY looking better! Yep..........a bit to go, but lookin' good and I have to say much more user friendly, and its only gonna get better! More to follow after these short messages!

SO last but not least...... I got an offer I just could not refuse...... I stopped by the local hobby shop to pick up some paint. The owner asks HEY John, you interested in some paint racks!? My ears right then and there begin to grow pointy. WHY yes, I would be, what ya got I ask. He says we just got new ones from Testors, and the old ones are out back. go have a look, let me know. so I go have a look, sure enough 3 racks, 30 inches wide, 4 feet tall. 2 of them and then a table top "check-out" or impulse buy rack that would normally be be by the cashiers..... WELL, I go back in, yes I'm interested he goes, load 'em, they're yours...... (My jaw hits the floor!) These racks are NOT cheap, by no sort of the imagination..... WELL I got all 3 of them, one out of the 3 in place, in a walk in closet in my shop (an "eave" area that was unused, and unfinished, till I seen it!) NOW, I got a "stock room", AND extra storage space, so these racks will be in there, the most used paints was the first rack to go in place...... This "area" originally looked like this: Notice, to the far right, is the milling area...... This is at the top of the stair case to the 3rd floor, The gray filing cabinet has been moved, INSIDE, as I made a doorway here! Laid a sub floor, and then a final layer of plywood, smooth side up, and began adding..... REMOVING from the shop area..... That paint rack picture is right inside the doorway I made to this area! This area, I found, is 9 and half feet wide, by 18 feet long.. ALL open, unused space! A walk-in closet for the most part, a rather long, narrow one, with a angled ceiling but, I don't care! Insulated nicely too, (was already in place), I just covered it with heavy plastic to keep the itchyness to a minimum! -AND I added my own lighting, all Florescent, to keep down any generated heat..... I did that to all the lighting I've added, its all florescent, to keep down any added heat on the 3rd floor, PLUS, better for the electric bills! LOL As for the paint racks? With me, I got something to the tune of 2,000 bottles of paint, averaging 800 different colors..... I needed something to store it all! This shelf, is OLD, mater of fact, NOT any I've seen recently have "Testors" painted on them such as this! Its not a slide in section of cardboard like what the new ones I've seen got, I'd say, this rack was new in the early 1990's...... BUT its filling right up! Due to this remodeling, I've post-poned ALL my builds, weather is way to nice not too. plus it will allow me to organize, and add space and might even make modeling a bit better and much faster..... Thanks for looking! -More to come when I'm able or have time to snap pictures!

.....WELL now, it has been awhile...... My last rendition of this ole posting was put on hold came to a sketchin' halt when I went through a bad accident with my hands (and its still not "over" yet........... I'm going through physical therapy on that, BUT I am able to do things a bit more as well as the working the hands, helps more then I can actually say (I had to go through NO dexterity type therapy what-so-ever due to that! ANYWAY, New Years Eve hit, and the wife & I got to talking about things around the house and things that I had "stashed/stored for future use in different household projects... one of those being my shop's "reset"...... I got a LOT of supplies so.....-Had planned to do this over the summer while the weather was nice, BUT I wound up getting hurt so that was all said-and-done with for a while till I healed..... WELL, that time has returned! I'm healed enough, to do some things, so..... To get supplies used and in-place for the shop would be a GREAT thing for the household not having to deal with all my stuff just setting around! So without further waiting, I got right back to it, where I let off in July, last year! So to go back, and show what it went from: What a wreck! It was so-so usable, not the greatest, but it worked for a time! It was done here in a hurry, I had to get something going or I was gonna go crazy!!!! (And I'll admit, THAT already is a short ride! LOL) Anyway, ripped that all out and down before I got hurt: Starting to remove things! I used that ole 3 drawer dresser under the machining bench! -Why its missing! Then got right into building that area like this: Left-to-right, the bench is "split". The left side is for electrical stuff, soldering etc. The center area id decal storage! and the right side is where my train stuff will be worked on, the area nearest that yellow 4 foot level standing there. Pic taken nearest the electrical/soldering bench. The train bench furthermost away. The shelving seen behind that yellow level is where a lot of detail stuff is stored. Mostly train stuff. Now however that same area is being "set" as I had planned for most of it way back in July, over the summer. -Time was to get things moving in the right direction again, and to make the shop......more user friendly! With that comes some old thoughts.... Stay tuned, more to follow after these short messages!

As you'll see, I got A LOT of "peg-board", This stuff, is ungodly expensive in the amounts I have! -Not that I spent a single red-cent in any of it. See, I used to work for a business that was retail, and I myself was part of the maintenance division, so when things got to old and all or shelving got old they'd toss it and replace it with new stuff as the old stuff, wasn't made any longer or in some cases, that particular shelving company wasn't even in business anymore. SO, I'd get to look over things they had me toss and decide if it was usable for my shop or not.... A LOT of times other things were wrong and the parts couldn't be used in any other type shelving so. I'd bring it home! (My wife, loves it! She wound up getting a BUNCH of metal sale floor shelving for organization in our basement!) But anyway, this peg-board, all came to me this very way! I myself just cut it to fit where it was going to go! BUT I have stacks of it! -For hobby use the stuff is GREAT, Plus I have a place in our basement for household repairs and tools so...... Having said all that, MOST of the last places new benches were built, will have the walls covered in white peg-board for hanging purposes! BUT, first I wanted to get things in place (some of the sections of peg-board I have), have a bad corner here, or was cracked all the way across the top or bottom, but big enough to be used NOTHING smaller then a 36 by 36 piece came home! Big enough for me...... Anyway, I began the whole thing by first removing the book shelf I had above the entrance way..... It went over head of the new bench work, I then had pieces of an old nicely built office desk, that was a "built-in" version of the store I worked for, offices..... They were gonna toss the whole sha-bang, and I brought home very valuable parts of it, that are on the next lowest shelf from the book shelf, that was for a keyboard to sit on and is completely adjustable, allowing me to use it to hold my test power pack, and some test track for the trains that will slide from side-to-side over either of the 2 benches, and that shelf its mounted on is then got a light with magnifier on it. The parts organizer thats sitting on that shelf in black, I'm not sure its gonna stay there. Its merely only sitting there for the time being. A close up of all this..... A shot from the electrical/soldering bench side. With a bit more in place. Now comes the peg-board I mentioned..... What a difference that one little section makes! Sure does brighten up the area too! -That little "frame" under that black organizer is a digital picture frame that I can plug a SD camera card into to show pictures of things I'm working on without having to turn 180 degrees and look at the computer in the shop. An old one, but works pretty good for what I wanted it for! -Picked up at a yard sale for I think a dollar! Long reach on that magnifying light!!!! -Electrical bench has a power strip along the front edge..... Picked that up at a local Circuit City store that was going out of business a few years ago that was for powering they're computer area.. I think I got 2 of them (last 2 they had) for $2.00! NICE units, I have to say! That black frame thing on the right behind the sliding shelf, there, against the wall is a TV wall mount adjustable fixture, "arm"..... I plan to put a rotary tool holder on that and have it in one of 2 choice places in the shop, haven't decided yet on that location, BUT it will fold in-and-out of that area, where it is, out for use, away for "storage" out of sight/the way.... Test power pack, and wiring routing..... It will have a set of wires to power either of the 2 tracks seen here, HO & N scale. And then have a "jumper set" of wires with insulated alligator clips on it for testing things on the bench not requiring track. (Mechanical stuff) I had this all set up once before, but NEVER routed the wires down through the table, ALWAYS had them over the top (off to the side)...... This will work so much better this way! I also limited the length of the jumper set, 2 feet, MAX...... Before when the shop had the make-shift benches these were like 4 feet long and could reach the floor. a LOT of wire really not needed! Here shown is a close up of that little digital picture frame too! Plus some surrounding messes that are that way due to the work going on..... Needless to say, I got a ways to go and a lot to sort through and some supplies yet to use up, BUT the white peg board will be on top that second lowest shelf, and go up the wall all the way to the underside of that book shelf near the ceiling. Its edge will be even with the piece already on the wall, that way, I can run another section up the side of them, from the work bench surface all the way to the edge of my wifes work area bench...... As hers & mine are slightly different in height. I plan to put up a sectioning wall, her side will have a nice shelf for whatever she wants, my side is gonna be peg-board, and covered in hanging supplies! Thats it for now, more to come when more is done! (Probably when the next section of peg-board is up, and things are in-place in that area a little better.)

Well back to adding some pics to this whole mess..... (Actually clean-up but. its still a different sort of mess) The whole corner here is finally peg-boarded. And the walls look GREAT with the white on them, instead of that nasty looking old horse-hair plaster finish from the 40's..... This area, the whole room was to be a storage room for our house, NOT meant to look exactly "pretty". BUT, makes for a GREAT shop area!!!! Can make all the danged mess I want and not have a lot to worry about other-wise even tho, the mess will clean it all up a bit (organization) so...... So, I got the corner in, the peg-board goes right around, for this bench-area. I have since re-thought the top of that cabinet too. The white boxes are train sets and should not be there..... I moved them, and replaced them, with this: With that cabinet there, I'm still not sure, I like this, (it be easy to move elsewhere if I choose too) so. we'll see! A little further down the wall, I went back to place another "organizer", with several drawers in it, to be mounted, in-place. The black organizer: Thats all for this area right now! Because of other things that may belong here, elsewhere needing relocated..... SO, moving on, to another "area" I got to re-setting part of the bench I use for model cars.... Made some paint bottle racks, mounted right to the wall. and a tool holder above them thats magnetic, and a bench-top mounted oganizer as well..... This bench also sports a coffee warmer, and a Dremel Flex-Shaft machine suspended from the ceiling! All controlled by a variable speed foot pedal! Yeah, thats a BIG "Dremel" its an older Dremel "9000" Advantage, with a flex shaft attachment.... What a machine! (Was a gift from my Dad!!) -I also added high-mounted peg-board for model car supplies!!! -There has been other items in and around this area since this picture was taken! WOW! A "CLEAN" bench top! Imagine that!? Then you go around the corner...... This area once was my Wife's work bench for crafts..... She has been moved further to the right of this area! (Gave her a bit more place to be and storage for her stuff, that I'm also putting in place!) The cabinet stores spray paint cans, and other paint related items. This bench here is to be re-built too and will become a "paint bench", for mixing, and spraying and have a "leaf" that can be added or removed for bigger projects.... UNDER this bench will be a shelf, built to it, thats to house/hold all of my tools. Mini Dremel Table Saw, Mini Grinder, Mini bench-top Belt Sander, Mini Dremel "Moto-Lathe" for wood, so..... Kinda a "general" tool area underneath. The leaf to it will be 2 legged, and have removable pins to where it can go here, OR be connected to my other bench for extension to it, the machine bench, that has my Unimat on it.... BUT, down the wall from the wooden cabinet here, there will be a BIG shelf for my Wife's craft area for her to store stuff on, (something her area lacks right now.) Paper towel holder under that spray paint cabinet, and the wall BEFORE it got a peg-board covering. The work bench seen here is apt to be taken apart, and rebuilt, (its to low) so. and will provide materials for the bench to take its place! Thats it for now! Hopefully, have a lot done to this, and will be able to get back to some sort of modeling next week! (That will be NICE for 2016!!!!!)

So guys, I thought I'd say here and now Sorry for my absence! I have had some computer issues and it wouldn't allow me to sign in, I was getting a 502 Error except in e-mail! Thanks to DeeCee for posting WHY I wasn't around in the General area..... I would up keeping the computer I was here on, originally, due to finding it had a virus/bug from Facebook that my wife picked up, that locked us out of EVERYTHING but e-mail, and Facebook. Go figure! ANYWAY, I thought over the time I was gone, I'd come back with replying to PM's, and posting what I've been up too other then working on the computer. (I will say again), I'm not sure how long it may last, BUT it seems "good to go" for now...... So, to the next installment of my shops progress..... This is the area I dedicated to be the Train & electronic benches, they're shaping right up! NICE to have white peg-board walls! Got my magnifyier light in-place, as well as the electronic bench set up with my soldering station.... (I have several of these) but this is my main one, the others are either back up's, OR portables, to go to my train layout and other places needing soldering work, other then the actual bench area! The train bench will have a Dremel Flex-Shaft machine hung from the ceiling, as there are already 2 of them within the shop, its always nice to have the tools at finger tip reach! Better pic of the train bench! Showing test track for both HO scale (1:87th) and N scale (1:160th). G scale (1:22-1:28th) will be span across BOTH these benches if need be! (And yes, there is some within my shop to go with my model cars! LOL The Train test track also slides to the location of the electronics bench, to do testing and electrical work on the trains there as well as test them! Better shot from another angle of the electronic bench. Unlike the last way my shop "was" set up, this time around things are being organized a bit better as seen here! The train bench Detail cabinet. showing to have a secondary cabinet on top of it, that has since been removed (I did not like it there so I moved it else where till I see if I even need it, the area behind it and off to the left of it, has been fully peg-boarded, and a circulation fan put in the top right hand corner to keep heat & A/C in the entire shop.... THEN it was off to the Machine bench, where the Unimat is, and my Dremel Work station, The walls were horrible and needed something to be functional, SO having the amount of Peg-board I have, I thought why not! Removed EVERYTHING from the walls here placed the peg-board, and rehung mostly what I took down. Some small things I had on the wall here will be put back, BUT not where they originally were. Trying to utilize the space as best I can! Then........ I was off to work on the wall behind my "General" bench, where I build the model cars! One of the lights was removed (the one to the left of the bench!) THEN I built a "display" kinda case, thats NOT meant for "display" its a dust case. to put the current models I have out, in it to keep any and all dust off them! -It has since had a "seal" put onto the plexi-glass to "seal it to the case to prevent as much dust from getting in it as possible. This will ALSO serve as a drying rack, too..... For larger items to dry when painted to keep dust off them! To the right of this bench is where the paint bench will be NOT for actual painting, but the mixing there-of, and working on the air brush as you can see it hanging there, as well as "storing" it when not in use but still at my finger tips! I also have a hot plate there for keeping my favorite drink warm. COFFEE!!!!! LOL Dremel suspended from the ceiling at my fingertips as well.... ALL of these featured tools (suspended Dremels) are foot pedal controlled for RPMs! Sewing machine style! As well as some designed, and custom made organization racks and chest of draws. The racks on the wall are made from metal studding pieces I salvaged from my last job I had building stores..... (I saved anything from 1 foot in length to 4 feet in length from a single build I was part of, that used fire-proof/resistant building materials throughout as per that cities fire code. Stuff works wonders for holding paints and taking up little space to do! Then around the corner from the air brush, I got to the paint area! This area has yet to be completed! I got the walls DONE first, and will build the bench-work next as it will connect to my wifes work area for her craft work! This bench will be sort of "shared"..... She will get the far right hand side of it, and I'll have just the far left corner for paint clean up, mixing, etc..... This bench will also have a removable leaf to it for doing bigger craft projects and for my Wife's sake, gift ideas shes in-progress of! The lazy-Susan, had a modge-podge of tools in it, and some will be relocated to the proper bench, others will stay, for my General bench as its sitting on a TV swing arm wall mount, that I found at a yard sale last spring! For $2. And it does just what I intended it to do, perfectly, swing the tool rack to me, when needed and away from when not needed..... Out of the way when mixing paint, and back when done..... Then, my Wifes craft bench..... She is STILL organizing as I'm not done building racks and drawers for her use! Thats it for now. more to come soon!

So it has been A LONG time running with this remodel, BUT after a year, a part of a finger missing and one that doesn't work the way it was grown too, I'm back at finishing this task of my shop being remodeled!!!! SO all that was left from my last installment was to finish up my Wife's work bench (her "Craft" bench, That is now perpendicular to the "Paint Bench") Where her OLD bench once was! so I added in some "extra" to her bench and redesigned my first thoughts of what it was to become, as you'll if your following along with all this carpentry.... Here, you see the wife's work bench, the old bench I built last year, is the dark brown surface.... The new bench I JUST built, is the light Melamine bench (on the far left of the picture!) The "angled" part of her bench was done to put a knee angle in the highest part of her bench to bring the "Paint Bench" up in height, to have it as a somewhat "make-Shift" big project area! -Where this angled part sits on top of her dark brown bench there was a drawer added for tool storage for her. this wasn't part of my original design BUT I had found a "stored" old table in our basement that went into pieces and thought I'd keep the drawer, its slides, and the "face" where it was in the table! Worked PERFECT for this part with little to no adjustments needed made. On TOP of this "drawer" is a shelf, sort of set-back in the face of this area for her to store paint bottles or glue bottles! It will fit anything 2 ounces or smaller..... Or for that matter ANYTHING that will fit in this area! -Also the whole area's "Surroundings" is got peg board to hang things from, tools supplies you name it! (The peg board was free, which for this project in my shop, was THEE right price! LOL Shows that "round" section, made spefically to do as I marked the picture! The Wife can work on several projects at once! (she was at one time using a heavy-butt flower pot turned up-side-down and doing little projects on its base and just spun it around as she worked on tiny things and this was something I noticed! I took that idea of hers and made the bench top that you see here the height of that flower pot, with a LARGE store shelf bearing under it, a store "retail" shelf with a ball-bearing lazy-susan.... I then too that, and a router and cut a section of Melamine to the size of a base I had to get the true round top..... I followed the base with a bearing end round over to get that round top to be perfectly round to follow in that bearing! The bearing is rated art 200 pounds load on it so ought to be PLENTY strong for her to work on it as she was and gives her a bit more table space then her ole flower pot trick did.... More to follow, As always comments welcome!

Moving down that bench, I built the "Paint Bench" as you can see here: With its own "shared" light.... It also has its own "Commodity" storage against the wall with Q-tips for Air Brush cleaning, and what have for you, stirring stick for glue stirring or paint stirring anything you can use them for, and then a 3rd space thats totally empty right now, as I plan to fill it with a second but different type of Q-tip, those you see are wooden handle ones and the other ones I plan to get are the plastic "hollow" tube ones for more general use! Also a power strip along the benches face edge for extra plug ins for quick electric tool use. On the right-hand end of that power strip is a metal "shelf" I made from old left-over metal studding that was GREAT to put paint markers on that the wife uses (I have a "rack" for those I use at my work bench!) ...And all the damned peg board you can think of with rattle can storage up the wall! Under the cabinet I added to it, that also has rattle cans in it! And for now a Make-Shift place to hang a radio! I plan to make a more suitable place for a better sound system later on..... I have one more small area to focus on but that will come later as its thee last place to be remodeled in the shop! Thee END of the "Paint Bench", showing my Air Brush, with the hose coming out the side of the bench. I did this purposely to keep the hose some-what under the bench! I can putt it out freely without damaging the hose as I "lined" the hole with plastic to keep any possible wood for poking hose or wearing through the braided hose.... The "Air Brush" is my Badger 150 model double action, having its out rack to hold it when not in use! It hangs off a rack that holds my most common Testors Rattle can colors! Flat Black, Flat While, Gloss Cote, and Dull cote and the current color I might be using at any given time! -On the far left of said rack you'll see "Sharpie" markers hanging from its edge! THEN we go under the "Paint Bench", I added a shelf to hold tools I use A LOT in the shop! From left to right, you first see my SILENT Air Brush Compressor, I can run this at any time day or night, its so silent you can barely hear it when its running! (I JUST got this not 2 weeks ago going on 3.) Notice it sort of has its own "shelf" WELL thats not just a "Shelf" for the compressor! Its "Drawer!" that only holds the air brush compressor! Slides out to turn it on, and slides in while in use out of the way, and has a pressure valve and moisture strainer on the other end, and a drain.... Slides back in on roller bearing drawer slides when not in use out of the way!! -Beside my compressor you see the wife's personal shop fan, on the floor.... Behind it is 6 plastic "Tote" drawers that normally come with 3 drawers each found along the road free for the taking! -I NEVER let these go. those darn things are expensive and in a shop of any sort come in handy for storing things and organization! They're 2 drawers high, and the far left-hand bottom drawer is shop rags..... The far right 4 drawers are for the wife's craft material storage! Again, more to follow, Stay Tuned! Comments Welcome! -Enjoy!

THEN, after the air compressor, you see my 4 inch Dremel Table Saw from 1980. I use this for cutting any hobby wood even plastic sheet! It WILL cut 1/2 inch thick pine like a standard size 10 inch table saw will with WAY MORE accuracy! Then to go to the right after the Saw, you see my 1980 Dremel Moto-Lathe, a Mini Wood Lathe, that I use when I'd rather NOT use the Unimat for wood turning! NICE little tool I have to say, 100% complete with all its parts works like any South Bench Wood Lathe would, just in miniature! Next to it in gray is my Shops #1 Arbour Press. Next to that is my shops Stationary Belt Sander (I got this from my Uncle on the week I took vacation when my Dad passed away, this was THEE LAST TOOL my Dad EVER used! I got it from the Uncle for that very reason and I use it A LOT when cleaning up my Resin molded parts! Its made by Harbor Freight. In front of the green belt sander is a Black & Decker 6 inch grinder that I got from my Dad the last visit I seen him alive as he knew I was looking for a small grinder for sharpening lathe tool bits and such, I have a Pink Silicone wheel for such tasks not on the grinder yet in this picture! Its old, a little thing, but it works great and well came to me as something my Dad just up an gave me when I seen him! UNDER all this on the shelf is those plastic drawer totes, there is a row of 2 drawers high 3 drawers in length making for 6 drawers. On the far left under the little compressor its "open" thats for the hose to fall from the air brush, and any storage of large flat things like picture frames! And things that won't harm my air brushes braided hose. Then back to the Wife's bench a bit more, on the far-right of her bench you see the peg board that went up the wall, and I added a few storage options for her, a "commodity" cabinet that has 5 roll-out drawers, above it another blue one, with 2 drawers having 3 divided spaces in each roll-out drawer. And a red multi drawer organizer.... Naturally you can see the paint shelf built into the wall, between wall studs, and then on the absolute FAR-right, a multi-drawer "tote, thats built into the wall and the peg board goes around it, I'm not sure how many drawers it has I think 6 total, 2 low depth drawers and 4 deep depth drawers.... that has a wooden rotary sitting on top of it, for anything she wants! (I made 3 of those rotary tops! ALL from scrap lumber, and scrap plexi-glass!) Good for paint bottle storage, or really anything that'll fit in it! -As you can see, the wife has 2 ceiling suspended "Craft Paint racks that are rotary too, these were to be made to sit on the bench and I turned them around buying a 1 inch flat washer (those darn things are hard to find! Home Depot and Lowes only carry 3/4 inch ones, but I needed something to slip OVER the center post, and allow a perfectly fitting ring-roller-bearing to rest on and function, and then with 1 1/2 inch long threaded rod couplings suspended the "center post from its base, mounted on the ceiling with all-thread rode, all triple lock washer "locked to keep it from un-locking from the threaded rod, and the threaded rod from the base mounted on the ceiling up-side-down! Shes got A LOT of craft paint so..... BUT lacked a lot of bench space so bench space was at a premium and I wanted her to be able utilize as much bench space as possible! Right about the horizontal center of the picture you see the built-in paint rack in the wall above it is LONG wooden shelving for her to stor whatever in.... On the bottom of this lowest wall shelf, is gonna get some serious empty pill-bottle use! I plan to mount the bottles to wooden section to "step" them with their caps mounted to the under-side of this lowest shelf! Some of them on the very front edge, you can see, I've started this task! Stay tuned a little more to follow!!!! Like always comments welcome and I would love input.... Any ideas I missed PLEASE spill 'em out here, ANY ideas I don't have but you guys might see room for improvement please tell me, as you might see something I don't! -ENJOY!

Then to aid my end of this area..... I took the little work bench I use as a "General Modeling Bench" and got one of the much larger 3 drawer plastic ROLLING totes, and encased in wood! Gave it a nice 1 inch thick top of layered Melamine, to strength, and Luann sides to sturdy up the place frame it came with and a single Melamine base, with holes drilled into it, to mount the plastic frames wheels (I think I may enlarge the wheels just a bit) as I think it roll better with a 1 inch larger wheel size then its got.... Its not 100% level as the floor in the shop isn't 100% level from an old house so.. this "room" I call a shop is a glorified storage area, as a 3rd floor (highest floor of my house) so..... was an "Attic room" with a window! So... A WAY better choice!!! THEN while this was all done, I had one more piece of peg board to hang..... Far left, top corner above my Computer monitor, and above that shelf its mounted to, up-side-down! Just to get a brighter wall effect! and that will give me more places to hang things when I get to organizing as much of the mess as I can! This "area" is my "Machine Bench".... machine tasks are done here! IF you all that are following have seen there is a Dremel suspended in about EVERY "Area" I'd be. I have A LOT of those tools and you can control them by foot, with a Sewing Machine foot pedal......... if you have say a Dremel "Multi-Pro 395, you set the switch to #1, and then press on the foot pedal, you can run a zero RPM to full RPM of the #1 position of that switch on the tool without a problem! VERY precise work to be done like this on almost ALL of my models! This is for now! ALL thats been done the past month in the shop you all now see! As I mentioned in my last posing, if you see an idea I haven't done and can do, please post it, all is and will be considered IF I have the tools and materials to do it.... Thanks guys! Thanks for looking -Enjoy!

Thanks Keith! Much appreciated! Yeah I have a lot and am lucky to have what I have seen here!!!! Other tools? OMG.... I can't tell you all that I have as that list goes into the thousands pretty quick!
As for your rack attempt, that sucks! They aren't easily gotten! I tell ya, since I got those first 3 Testors paint racks..... I'm not at 7 total! Thing is, I'm NOT 100% sure I'll use ALL of them, so if a good trade was made for the rack, and someone paid actual shipping, I'd let one go..... -I'm not sure what shipping cost, BUT if the interest is there, I'd trade one if someone pay the actual shipping cost.... The last 2 I got from a different place are about the same size as that Testors one I posted here! -In pretty good shape too! The only "catch"? Would be the models to trade would have to be something "Mopar"..... Packing and all that I won't worry about that, I got TONS of mailing stuff so....

-OK you guys........... I just got a REAL "Mother LOAD" (NOT models tho!)...... Check this out...... This ---^ Is what my "Machine Bench" once looked like...... THEN: I now have TWO of those machine centers! ONE I had is now set up as a Milling Machine: And the NEWEST addition: This new machine came with so much that for the price of all the "accessories" and attachments with it, I got, the machine literally cost me $55 bucks! Same ole cabinet I made for all the attachments & accessories, now with a WHOLE LOT MORE in it! This ought to make things happen a tad bit faster!!!! AND allow for more things to be made then before.... NOW both are "Stable Mates"...... And the light switch in my shop............ YOU BET! I also got a bunch of molding items too..... I'll be producin' a bunch of stuff, so stay tuned in my Resin area!!!! I AM one HAPPY "shop" owner!!!!

Yeah man, that new Unimat..... Is allowing me to make anything I can think up (literally).... I just took thin washers, and put them in a Milling Machine Dividing Head, to drill holes in it evenly spaced around the center of the washers to be "Bead-Locks".... have a look: Without that new machine this accessory came with that machine! The first machine I got didn't have accessory "Dividing Head".... and is a VERY expensive machine tool for these machines!!!!

Yeah and what you see? Is UNPOLISHED!!!!! I've since polished 5 of them to go on my '78 Dodge Power Wagon "Dream Truck" build! That will hold a set of Mopar Rallye's to a set of '44 inch TSL Super Swamper tires!!!!! I will be adding more details to the rings tho....
