Daisy Duke's Jeep "Dixie" COMPLETED!!!!!!



























And there ya have it....... a SAVED build.. (I have to say, its feels GREAT to have completed yet one more model, thats been in the works for over a year now), with a few issues and bumps along the way, but as said several times throughout the build this model was a glue bomb when I got it, and it was old...... SO I restored what was needed, replaced what was missing, and made it as close as I could to the real "Dixie" (Even tho it really isn't even close to the real one) I'm happy with it............ Enjoy!

Took "Dixie" to her Third contest this year, on October 2nd 2016 at the Classic Plastic Show in Lawrence, MA, and She brought in a 3rd place win in the "Light Duty Trucks" category. Pretty please that this model has "placed" in every contest shes been put in!

This is a great looking Jeep! The hood eagle is a beauty. Congrats on the trophy, dude! Well done (Too bad that red lump ain't under the hood!!)

Thanks Bucky! Red lump? You mean the factory 4 banger the kit originally had with it that I had to replace it with the blue V-8? I'll have to look, BUT I have a whole build on this model too and post it if I haven't. I literally resurrected this kit, It was a mess when I got it! The original motor was broken and missing probably 30% of its parts so..... I put in to it what I had for a Jeep and called it good, and made it look the best I could in the mean time!

That Big honkin' thing in the back that its haulin' is for the cousin '69 to keep 'em running from Rosco! (I came up with a little twist to the story line) to make the build a slight bit more interesting! PLUS, allowed me to really detail that engine to the 9's!

Thanks Bruce! Much appreciated! Was a hellofa rebuilder when I got it from the "back room" of a Hobbytown USA as they couldn't sell it out front on the store shelves so. a Room FULL of opened and partly built and or semi-ruined models. I picked it up for I think $4.00 in the condition it was in.... BUT I think I saved it from its doom, and brought it back to life to what it was meant to be! (It even came with the Daisy Duke MPC box!)
