I got this Sedan Delivery some time ago, built by a modeler unknown. As you can see it wasn't the prettiest car, but, it was basicly all there. It sat in the collection for some time until I finally decided to do something with it, and the rebuild was started. I had noticed that the roof went up hill, (front to back) and felt that was a good starting point. I stripped it and then commenced corrections, which meant taking a pie cut out of the base and lowering the rear of the roof. Of course the "B" post was wrong but I opted to leave it as it is being buit as a custom work truck for "Fast Eddies Automotive Detailing" . I tunneled the custom taillights which meant changing the tailgate of which I removed the license plate for a cleaner more flowing look. I had the tailgate set-up to open Like that of a wagon but later found out that they were a huge heavy hatch. I got the car down to what I thought was ready for paint and even mocked it up in white base for the "Gathering" only to find out later that a windshield wouldn't fit, and proceeded to go backwards to correct , which is where I stopped, ( going backwards can really make one loose interest pretty quick.).
As I got the car.
One can see the uphill roof in this pic.
Stripped and corrected roof.
The new tailgate with tunneled taillights.
Mocked up for the "Gathering".
Repairing the windshield, so the glass would fit.
Also modified the "B" post
And that's as far as it's gotten to date, hopfully soon I feel like getting back to it.
Youn can see all the pics of the mods and redoes here:
