Just finished this Pontiac, it's was a sort of "filler" in between trucks, it aint a bad kit, very well detailed, though it's odd they didn't put the wing mirror, wipers, int mirror, door handles and antenna on the chrome sprue, they come on the white spru, i guess i turned into a truck bloke as i got fed up with this halfway through so i could have done it betterm still hope you like it and how is everyone? well i hope and also hope you still look in here, it's been a while for me, sorry,

Looks good! I like the working lights! I've been waiting to see one of these built- I restored a real one some years ago, and have been debating about getting this kit.

Thanks Tom, like i say it aint a bad kit, very well detailed and worth buying as long as you dont spent a lot on it, i got two trumpeter kits a while back (the other one still in the box is a Chevy Nova,) the only gripe is the white molded door handels, wing mirror, and wipers, i only used the handels and they were a real pain to stick bmf on, they look crap close up, i should have tried alcald i guess, the chrome parts are nicly done, not over done like some revell and other kits i've done, a nice touch is that the side trim comes seperate on the chrome sprue and is very well molded, they press into groves on the body and are a tight fit made all the more difficult by me overdoing the paint a bit, i managed to lose the two tiny chrome trims that go on the edge of the trunk lid (you can see in the back end pic where they should go, it would have been a whole lot easier build if i hadn't wanted to add lights, i had to cut away some of the front inner wings to get the top and bottom together properly, and as useual my paint lets it down, orangy on the upper surfaces i wouldn't mind a 1/1 of this model bonny ;D

I'll have to get one of those kits! On small parts, like the wipers and door handles, I use Testors #1146 silver (in the old style small jar). Flow on with a brush, then blow softly across it, and it looks pretty good. If you ever get a real one, try to avoid getting one with hail damage! I spent a couple weeks bumping little dents out of those huge hood and trunk, not to mention all the trim on the upper half of the car! Could have been worse, though, it was a convertible- I didn't have to deal with a dented roof!

Even one with hail damage would be a nice project , although we dont get "big" hail here in the UK, come to that i'd probably have a job finding Testors in any kind of jar as well ;D

This one got posted while I was in the hospital back in 2013, and I missed it. I think it looks great! The lights make it look so real!
