I had a friend who asked everyone what was the oldest kit in our stash. Mine is this Revell Lincoln Futura that is the same age as me... 1956! It's all flat panels that you glue together to make the body. Next oldest would be this Entex Mercedes from the early 60's... What's your oldest and will you eventually build it? I'm planning on building mine!

WOW!!! What a cool thread Joe!! I'm going to have to dig in and see what my oldest in the stash is and get back to the thread. I will say that Futura sounds like a bear and a half to build if you have to glue the flat panels together to construct the body. How many parts are in that kit anyways.
Entex is a name I don't remember hearing anything about in modeling. You're dating yourself here bud. lol

These 2 were also old kits built from panels... the Triumph was a 1950's Minicraft kit and the Austin Healey was an old Revell kit.

Thank you. I might have others, I'd have to look. Those I remember well because the instructions had the date printed.

I have a good number of vintage kits from the early to mid sixties in the stash, but quite possibly the oldest kit I have on hand would be one of these: It should be from around 1959.
