Unfortunately Robbo I can't find a van to use so I will just have to have bits and pieces lying about.

Interesting project, JED Do you know what the 3RRF stands for? Looks like it was sprayed on after it was upside down. Perhaps just a code for the records of the photo for the Military? Lookin forward to seeing more of this project.
Keep up the good work.
Jim

On 12th December the 3rd Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, travelled from Germany to the Gulf. The 3rd Battalion Battle Group advanced into Iraq in February 1991 at the start of the ground war. There you go,Jim. And Jed, This looks like this is going to be a very cool build.

We used to have three battalions but now only one. For short we used 1RRF, 2RRF and 3RRF.Primarily we were a foot infantry regiment but had periods of being an armoured regiment with the Warrior AFV.

Hey JED
Thanks, when JEFF explained what Battalion it was, I knew right away it was yours. What did you use for the frosting on your cake? LOL no seriously, what did you coat the Styrofoam with?
I know as little about dioramas, as I do Military stuff But I can rebuild a Harley engine in the dark (always had poorly lit shops, lol)

I used ready mixed filler for a base coat, on the top is AK sand mix, I will put more filler on the sides and smooth it out before painting.

I managed to source a van by Hotwheels and whilst it isn't of the type in the picture hopefully with a bit of fettling I will be able to get a fairly good likeness.
