This has been shelved for a long time.....I am not sure how long, but it isn't important. I dragged it off the shelf of doom this afternoon, collected the parts I could find, and took stock of what will be required to finish this off. It looks like it won't be too difficult to finally get this on the display shelf. The first job is to get rid of the layer of dust coating this thing!

That is awesome! I have one of these too; but in 1/72 scale. I got one because my nephew flies them.

Have been busy the past couple of weeks, but have managed to get more done. One of the wing tips was chipped from being bounced around the shelf of doom (I estimate this kit had sat like this for 8 or 9 years before I picked it up again!). I cut a replacement wing tip from .020 sheet styrene and grafted that onto the wing, and blended it in with putty. Next, the repaired wing tip, and several areas on the upper surface were repainted, this eventually included almost the entirety of the upper surfaces in fact. I masked and painted the metal edging around the exhaust outlet with Stainless Steel Metalizer and used a piece of carbon fiber decal foe the heat shield behind the exhaust port. I made a new window for the turret and covered it with a colored fingernail foil to replicate the coating on the window. Making good head way now!

I made the other, smaller windows on the turret from the same material and added a warning decal. The weapons all painted up as inert training munitions. I found some small "inert' stencils in the decal bin to add to the Maverick's also.

Liking this a lot Ernie. One of my nephews who had dual US/British citizenship was in the US Airforce, I think he gave up the British side for the forces, he was going on to fly these drones but decided to leave, a shame but he’s doing well in the US still.
