This is the Hobby Boss 1/350 kit of the Los Angeles class submarine USS Portsmouth. The Portsmouth is a Flight One series boat, and thus has the sail mounted diving planes and lacks the vertical launch tubes in the bow. The Portsmouth also has a local connection as we live 20 minutes from the Portsmouth the sub is named for. The kit went together well and I only added a 3D printed prop acquired from Ebay. It turned out okay. Not quite how I envisioned it would but I got it to the point where it is tolerable to look at. The best part is the Bolivian Rosewood I used for the base, very beautiful wood.
