Stick around Bossman...😎 (blimey - page 2 already ? 😲 )
Decals on it (Decal solvent (Gunze Mark Softer), drying atmo, still needs underwing fiddly bits (mass balances and pitot head) added, plus its wing gun barrels - should have its final pix uploaded here within 2-3 hours (hopefully, barring accidents) 🤔🙄

On second thoughts, just cos the sun's out for once (we've had (and are still in for),a lot of rain hereabouts),
Here's the 109 nearly completed, just needs a few tiny greeblies under the wings and the cannon barrels on their leading edges... and a couple of paint touchups ! 😳😖
In the Colours of Willhelm Balthasar (wonderful name !) when commanding 1/JG-1 in the early war period.
Tis an Eduard Profipak kit and no dramas were encountered in its construction (luckily there's plastic parts in the kit if you want to leave the brass out of it !) 😉
Now what am I to do with the other 7 options presented on the decal sheet ? Hmm... (goes looking for a box of 3 109E's "Joy Pack"style that only come with National insignia in the kits, I know I have at least two of those sets in the boxes that came from my late mate. ... Next stop add the greeblies to this and stop for lunch, then git onto the Stuka "Gunbus"
Oops ! Nearly forgot the pics - Silly Me ! 🙄😋 Here ya go !

Ho hum... 🥱
Not quite as nice as I remembered, ain't it always the way... 20/20 hindsight ain't as good as it sounds, or looks, (with or without the rose tint !) Oh well, it ain't all that bad, so I'll keep going on it, its a doddle thus far... 😎
I'll git this 'ere example dun over the weekend, and then git onto a jobby I've never personally built before (just a kit I've not seen, although its been around for a while, doesn't make it any less worth building, its an Eduard Weekend Edition Spitfire VIII, which I was going to do off the kit's decal sheet as a USAAF desert camouflaged jobby named "Fargo Express", but another scheme on the kit's decal sheet took my fancy and so I'll forgo Fargo 🤓🤫 (I'll save its markings for another Mk VIII (got at least 6 of the Hasegawa examples in the boxes from my mate) and do the alternate jobby from the kit's sheet
That's after this Stuka Gunbus clears the line of course ! 😆😋
One til its dun from here from now on, Its far easier to keep the constip...err... concentration levels on the job that way 🙄😉

Wow, what are you feeding those guys? They are really busting the moves!!!

Not feeding them anything, they eat what they want (as long as they eat during Works meal breaks).. 🙄
It may be they're trying to make up for their slackness earlier in the week (which has been addressed by management insisting on a "one til its dun" policy henceforth from now., or it could be they know they'll be shot without question the next time they stuff up in similar fashion. They know how ruthless and unrepentant the manager can be with a gun in his hands (he's known for lethal accuracy under such circumstances too ! )
That aside, its a lovely day out here, so up went a certain umbrella behind the shed....😎
The WWorks Outdoor area (day shift only) came into play, under its indomitable chief Al Fresco 😋 (Not him pictured and that's a plastic dog)
All mod cons (no electricity, (iits only a 6ft extension cord away in the shed !), no matter, large amounts of natural daylight and air con available (there's the maritime expanse of Chittaway Bay at the bottom of the street, good for nice cool sea breezes) So just for a spot of eyestrain relief, we got into a 35th we'd been hankering to have a go at for ages (its a good old memory laner, for us and (we suspect) many others. It comes under outside projects (built outside as and when such things are do-able...) and will be finished whenever...🤫
Had to curtail that activity after a few hours because the weather wasn't playing...🤬
Got everything back inside again and the brolly down and covered as the rain started, its now blowing a gale and pee-ing pickhandles out there ! Oh well, back to the regular desk and the Stuka Gunbus - that'll be after lunch, a coffee and a burp (in that order precisely ! 🤔)

Yer not kidding.. its grey, leaden skies out there atmo, the rain's not far away and the wind's whistling about the joint in loud fashion, so no outdoor activities today.
I may well decide to have a day away from the desk today, not feeling too well, its also a Sunday, so I might call it a day of rest, got a few things to do as well, desk but not modelling related. Managed to get paint on the Stuka last night, If I do any modelling today, it'll just be getting the decals and canopy onto that bent wing bird
Catchyas tomorrow

Feeling a tad better today, retrieved 3 boxes containing my built Spitfires in 72nd and another 3 containing 24 built P-51's (all variants from A-36 Apache thru to P-51 H) and went thru them, going to scrap a lot of them, they ain't up to current collection standards,a lot of them are vintage kits too, by Heller and Airfix etc; with raised panel lines and other acceptable (back then) "blips"(ie no gull wing on the Spitfires).. Some of them might get refurbed (paint stripped thoroughly, tadge of filler here and there repainted and re decalled), but a lot of them won't, they'll just be binned. 😈
There's better kits about these days and I don't see why those old campaigners should stay, they've had their days in the sun. Any Spitfire or 'Stang I've posted here in the last couple of years is certainly safe and won't be considered for the treatment detailed above. 😎
That's for the future however, meantime the weather forecast out here is for rain and more rain, so I might just put the Hetzer startedon the outdoor line onto the indoor line, just to git it dun and out of the way and to save my eyes from 72nd burnout..🤓
I did manage to get Paint and the canopy sectionson the Stuka Gunbus last night, so will get a progress snap of that later on, when I've cleaned up its canopy lines somewhat ! 🙄

Why throw them out, sell em'! People like the old ones for rebuilds!

Don't think anybody would want what's left of them after I've got the wheels, gear legs, tailwheels, canopies, cockpit internals and other sundry useful bits off (and out), of them, they get binned as a pile of shattered parts (once I glue something together it stays together !)😈
Stuka needs its canopy repainted, something to do with thw wrong shade of Green being used the first time - (dang my eyes ! ) 😖🤬

Thought it might (hoped it would)....🙄
Stuka's coming along, needs more canopy work and a gloss before its decals go on - hopefully tonight or early tomorrow) after which I'll paint its tyres... 🥱
Spitfire next, will be finished as Fargo Express. I'll save the other markings in the kit for a Hase job (got 3 the same, only one built in its kit markings, so the other 2 are free to be marked with whatever markings I decide to chuck at 'em ! 😈 After I've built 'em of course ! 😆😋

Taking it real easy for the day...
Felt a tad better last night, got the decals and little greeblies onto the Stuka last night, just needs a few paint touches to get it across the line, might do that today, if I feel so inclined. Spitfire is now off the line, casting around for a replacement, got a lovely old Airfix Tomcat, which is looking to be next on the line. I remember building one of them almost as soon as it showed up out here, in the late 70's. Its still a nice kit of an early Tomcat, despite its age.
Going to the doc around midday, failed RAT test last night, which might be why this hasn't cleared up like most of the flu type things I've had lately
Oh well ... tis wot it is I guess..
