Congratulations on your retirement!!! Doesn’t feel good not to have to go to work anymore? I hope you enjoy your retirement as much as Kelley and I enjoy ours. I found that the first week of retirement went by much faster than the last week of work!!! (wonder why). Enjoy!!!

Thanks for the kind words my friends! Yeah it's strange not getting ready for work and leaving my laptop set up on the corner of my hobby table instead of in the bag to go to work with me! First two days spent building and yesterday at sister Betsy's home with family! Today is finally snowing again so putting away Christmas decor is in order and maybe some bench time!

First off, a BIG congratulations on your retirement Joe! That's great news after working for so many years and I'm sure you're looking forward to a bit of a break. One thing that I do notice is that retiree's seem to crank out a good number of quality builds per year. I used to see folks that churned out build after build and wonder how they did it and after I found out that most of them are retired I know why. lol
Good on you bud.
Secondly, this is indeed a great looking car you've turned out Joe. It's funny how these VW's changed only slightly in the decades that they were manufactured. Very nicely done bud.

Thank you Joe for the kind words! Retirement should be fun unless I drive my wife crazy... lol! Then I'll go hang out in the woodworking shop!
I agree on VW's not changing much over the years. I have 2 more plus another Dune Buggy to build sometime in the future.
