Academy 1/72 King Tiger Henschel Turret

This had been on Pre-Order for quite a while, when it turned up it was well worth the wait. Maybe some things could have been done better but all in all pretty good. It is now awaiting  muddy weathering and a permanent base. No intermediate pics I'm afraid, build to paint. I drilled out the end of the barrel and the exhaust ports as they were too obvious to be left.

Many thanks Joe and Rusty. It looks a bit shiny, but it has had two coats of ultra matt varnish, doesn't look so shiny in the flesh so to speak.
I've been looking for a tank crew but the only ones I can find are by Blackdog.cz eshop blackdog-model.com. I have had stuff by this company, and they are very good quality but in this case a bit expensive for four figures.

Finally calling this done, it’s had another dark wash but still looks shiny in the pictures. It’s quite dull in the flesh!! No flash was used either!
