Fort Garry Horse Sherman Firefly Ic with horsehair

Finished it off last night and was super happy with how it turned out. I put a push on it over the weekend and the first few days this week as I was wanting to take it to AMPS in Edmonton this weekend.

For those that didn't follow along:
Dragon Firefly Ic welded hull
Friulmodel tracks
Aber barrel
RBM air cleaners
Accurate Armour stowage

horsehair was done with felt and windowscreen in the couple areas where the supports would have shown easily





















Showing it next to the reference picture I used as the basis. I wasn't going for exact copy, but wanted to get close.

Far as I have found, just for camo, no shine, no hard edges and such.

Very nice display of Fort Garry Horse Shermans. Have seen WW2 fotos of that camo application and wondered how it was attached and where did they get it. May have been "liberated" from a furniture factory is my guess. Cheers

Yeah, just the one pic I've found showing the framework underneath that they attached to. 

I have recently found about 6 pictures of Stuarts with the same thing. The one pic is noted as being 1st Polish Anti-Tank Regiment, but I wonder if its actually FGH as they were in the same Corps and area of Germany, plus the hat badge looks plausible to be FGH. But the Zaloga book I  found it in says it's from Polish archives, so haven't had much luck sourcing it myself. There is a set of 3 pictures from the Groningen archives that appear to be of FGH based off of the hat badge in the one picture and the fact that FGH operated a bunch around Groningen during its liberation.
