I like it! I'm collecting bits for another one (built Tamiya's kit a few years ago) but I'm thinking of doing the CS version, maybe since I found an AA conversion in a bin at Nats... Anyhootch, nicely done sir!

Well done, Jed! Cromwell was fairly mediocre, but it was fast. One of them particularly so, according to one officer commanding a Troop of them. His ride was particularly fast, and no one knew why...until they encountered a 20mm Flakvierling at close range which peppered the front end leaving dozens of rounds sticking out like porcupine quills. When the tank was evaluated for repair, it turned out to be a mild steel prototype that should never have been issued to a combat unit. As such, it weighed a few tons less than a properly armored (armoured, in Britain) example and thus was unusually speedy.

Oops. I bet the poop flowed downhill quickly there.... Yeah, the mild-steel tank was rapidly shuffled off to the scrapyard and the troop leader got a shiny new Cromwell with real armor.

I'm sure there were a few red faces after this realisation and no doubt a few choice words spoken out loud by the crew!!

The hardest thing Robbo is painting the equipment on these level 1 kits, at least on the others the equipment is seperate and can be painted on the sprue.
