The Duke's Shipyards Launches Two More in June

Having found a bit more time, I managed to finally get these two over the finish line. First is the ancient Airfix kit if the Vospers 73' Motor Torpedo Boat:











Yes, the rigging is a bit over scale, but it's the finest styrene rod I could find I was breaking things too much trying to use thread. It's done so....


On to the second one, the Revell S-100 Schnellboot. This is a more modern kit but it still gave me issues. It is finally done too:













That's the latest two I have finished. Just for fun, here's my entire 1/72 scale motor boat collection to date. I have at least three more in progress:

Have you tried fine jewelers wire you can get in any craft section for your rigging... cut to length you just super glue it in place... can paint it any color you want and it stays rigid...

Joe, good advice. Until recently I haven't had the funds to go looking. I had also been suggested EZ-line as well by others. I used what I had on hand as it was all I had and had no way of buying anything else. Now that I got paid; I have to see what's left over after bills and necessities are covered before I go looking for more.

Maybe, but I might have had no problem paying it. I hate to see a model get 'binned'.

Anyway, it's done. Time to move on. I want to get these next three boats finished.....

Your'e not wrong Joe, I can only say that from when Trump took charge anything we wanted to send to our daughter the postage cost way more than the goods!!
