I actually started this build in May, 2020. Through all the selling of the house, packing up and moving, and getting my new Hobby Shack set up, I had to put all hobby building on hold. I recently found time to work on this one and get it completed. That's the milestone part...my first completed build in my new Hobby Shack I thought I had started a thread for this build, but I guess I didn't. I'll run this thread from start to finish, and post the completed pics in the finished section. Bags full o' parts: I wasn't crazy about all this chrome: So, I tossed them in the Chrome-Away: I had no use for this gaping hole in the roof: So, I cut a piece of styrene and filled it up: I had to build the rear axle assembly in place so it would fit correctly when the time came to install it: While that was setting up, I started smoothing out the filler piece: Meanwhile, I built the early HEMI power plant for this dragster: One driver seat. You'd think a wagon would have more than one seat! A little paint splashed on the rear axle: And, here is the completed chassis, I scratchbuilt the coil for a little spark: And, a test fit to see how it's gonna sit: Not bad, so far! More to come................................

Very cool look with the torn tape instead of straight edges...

I thought it would look better than just having straight edges between the colors.

After placing the decals, I shot the clearcoat on: As you can see, the clear turned the bright white a sort of cream color. I'm puzzled. All the paint for the body was Krylon Short Cuts paint, in the small cans, even the clear coat. I'll live with it, as the color is not a drastic difference from the other colors, which weren't affected by the clear. This is my first completion from the new Hobby Shack. On to the next one!!! Thanks for checking this one out!

Very nice. Is the chrome off an actual product or something of your own making?

It looks cool even with the color shift... as for the yellowing I'm told future will do that over time but I've not experienced it...

I know the old Testors clear is bad about it, too.

I'll try to get some outside pics of the wagon soon. It might look a little different in different light.
