I warmly thank to Joe for opening this new space of brush play, this time a little more unusual.
Flat figurines have a long history behind them and very well organized professional associations like International Flat Figure Society = British Flat Figure Society. At first impression, they seem less attractive than what we usually do, what to do with the 2D vs. 3D aspect, but I assure you that the demos are all the more eloquent. Just search the internet for names like Penny Mayer or Rick Taylor and see for yourself.

Now my story! I'm not a big fan of these products, but I can see the artistic charge and, well painted, they can be real jewels.
I am attaching something I have in hand, recently arrived from France. The manufacturer is called Centurion Miniatures and they have a lot of interesting products, a few caught my eye. As they will soon become gifts for some close friends, you can see that I have included them on the list of projects for this year. You have their photo, the ruler will help you see the dimensions as well, a little more than the traditional flats (30mm).
