A good friend and high school classmate is a big Star Wars fan. He asked if I could paint this Millennium Falcon he found. I said 'Sure.' I was surprised when his wife dropped it off at the house. It was a 28 inches long Hasbro toy Falcon. It had decent details so I got to work. I used photos of the Fine Molds Falcon for color and weathering references. Fortunately the color of the Falcon was a match for Citadel's Seer Grey and that comes in a rattle can. I bought a small bottle of the base color for touch ups. The rest of the colors were matched to Vallejo Model Color. I did most of the detail painting on a TV tray because it wouldn't fit on my workspace at the time. As of this past weekend, all the color is on, lightly weathered and dull coat applied. Friday I will hit all the 'glass' and the rear engine panel with clear coat. It was a really fun paint. Thanks for looking!
