This is crazy as I have built 10 models in three months!!! Last year was 11 for the whole year!!! A longer winter has kept me indoors at my desk more and slow real estate thanks to this stinking economy has also contributed! This is my last year with that... retiring in December! Hallelujah!!!

You'll love retirement, I had to get myself active as I wasn't even getting out of the house. I joined a gym which I go to 8 hours a week and I feel great for it

That is Awesome, Joe
Been fun and inspiring watching all your builds.
I built a lot last year but didn't finish anything. I have finished 3 so far this year, but no pics yet.
Don't go to the gym, all those muscles, you might lose some dexterity to build models, LOL.

Sounds good, Joe! Seems like I haven't been able to slow down much since I retired, and that was in 2016!! Something is always keeping me on the go! Hahaha

Just remember Joe, you are only getting an additional 40 hours a week to do all those things you want to do... not 120 hours a week. Whatever, have fun and keep going!
Congratulations on your retirement coming up.

Joe, you're making up for me...and I AM retired.
It might be too early for you yet, but my past 3 or 4 weeks have been filled with Spring projects outdoors. Pruning bushes, the first mowing of the season, power washing, and cleaning up "dead fall" branches from the trees on my property have all taken up most of my excess time. All that and completing the rehab on my hip replacement (just passed 125 days) has left little time for my modeling bench.
The important thing (from my perspective) is that you're not only busting out the builds, but they are QUALITY builds as well.
Keep up the great work!!!
And an early congrats on the impending retirement.

Thank you so much Robert for the kindness my friend! Outdoor projects are right around the corner as the snow is slowly going away!

I was looking at retiring from full time work this November, probably wait until next November. We'll see a lot can happen between now and then. We plan to move and I will have a dedicated man room/shed for me!!

We plan to move and I will have a dedicated man room/shed for me!! That sounds great, Jed! I'm still trying to get the optimal arrangement in my Hobby Shack out back. I was able to finish a build that I started before we sold the house and moved. I can check one off the list, now! Already have another stalled project on the bench!
