Hi folks,
Here's the latest 4 off my line, constructional details etc; in my build thread over in factory builders.
Dragon SiG-33B
This is the original Dragon kit, not one of the two later reissues, having seen inside the boxes of those two, there ain't much difference between the 3 kits, except for the prices on the later kits 😖. It assembled easily and well and was soon painted with Tamiya XF-88 Dark Yellow 2 overall, with Tamiya XF-13 JA Green and XF-10 Red Brown freehanded over it in the camo pattern. All colours were Tamiya Acryls and the airbrush was a Testors 470. It came up as below after weathering and I reckon it looks the goods.
Italeri Demag 7 with 20mm Flak
Another easily assembled kit, no dramas anywhere and its NOT an old Esci kit or based upon any such thing. Italeri do have the Esci Moulds, but their own kits have nowt to do with the Esci kits, being totally new and far better detailed. The only addtion I made to this kit was a two part gun barrel from Master Models to replace the overfed Italeri supplied item, otherwise its strictly OOB, as is my penchant for such things. Methinks it looks ok.
Italeri Flakpanzer 38(T) 20mm
Another easily assembled item which gave no problems at any stage, again I replaced the 20mm barrel with a two piecer from Master Models, yet again replacing the overfed kit supplied item. Camo paints are the same Tamiya Acryls mentioned for the SiG 33B with which I started this post (and the Flak halftrack !), and again the airbrush used was my trusty Testors 470, That dependable old gal's had quite a workout lately ! 🤯
Tamiya Marder 1
Tamiya's new-ish kit, which has nothing to do with the Riich kit, two different kits (I've got both !). Relatively trouble free assembly, only problem happened when I misread the destructions and stuck something in the wrong place ! 😖 Easily rectified, once the realisation hit, so no real dramas ensued. She's finished in the same colors, freehanded with the same airbrush and is OOB like the rest. Came up OK I guess
That's yer lot for this time folks - please keep the laughter down til' I've left the room, (its the polite thing to do after all 🤫 )
