Well it's been a long time since I put together a plane. To be honest I looked through what kits I have and most of them seem overwhelming. I need simple, something to work on techniques. Out comes the 1/48 Trumpeter P-40B. This will be out of the box. My goal is to work on techniques and then weathering.

First step, the pit. Simple. Next will be the landing gear and wheels. Not much to see yet.

All comments, critiques, and criticism requested.

So far so Good Joe. But I have to ask,, do we ever really build stuff OOB? Lord knows I tell myself that's what I am going to do but at some point I se something that makes me go "No I can do that better" and the next thing I know I've added more styrene and anything else to it just to make it look better.
