Thanks, it's my outdoor happy space (detached 3 stall garage/shop)... taken many years of collecting tools piece by piece...

Any serious hobby is the result of years and years of collecting tools piece by piece. You are among the fortunate ones who has the space to accumulate the good stuff for more than one creative hobby. Looks like fun; I haven't done woodworking since my high school shop class days. Never had room for the big toys to do anything at 1:1 scale, and being a confirmed suburbanite who doesn't want to maintain acreage (or pay the property taxes on it) means I'll always be just a scale model guy.

I started in my first shop that I built behind a single wide mobile home I owned on a rented space, it was 8' x 12' with double doors I could open to cut longer stock from outside, ha, ha... Then I moved to a rental home when I sold the mobile and it had a single car garage I used until I moved here on 5.68 acres with a three bay garage... Where there is a will there is always a way!!!

Very Cool Joe, Reminds me of that old show "New Yankee Workshop" with Norm Abrams. I have built tons of stuff out of wood, I framed houses and apartments for many years and built lots of road cases when I had my sound company and build all my display cases and all I had for wood working tools was my trusty Skil worm drive, and of course hand tools. I have come up in the world, now I have 2 worm drives, LOL Always dreamed of a woodshop like yours. I have always had some pretty nice paint shops, but a separate woodshop was never in the budget. But there is a huge difference between carpenter and framer. You're a carpenter If you recall that's how we met when you showed some of your nice carpentry work over at Car-Toons. Best of luck on your new venture Jim

Sounds a good plan Joe, great workshop. Wood! you go to the Farmers market in Missoula or is that too far, we go there religiously when we visit our daughter and son in-law.

So jealous! I love woodworking. I still watch This Old House and New Yankee Workshop. All my work has to be done outside. Fortunately I have my table saw and compound miter saw on rolling stands. Good thing is that I never have to sweep the shop!

Joe I am envious. Woodworking is my second hobby as well. Unfortunately I don't have the space for a wood shop. Wish I did. So like Gator I do most of my wood working outdoors. Which is not a bad thing, gets me out of the house and as I say to the dogs,, get the stink blown off me. LOL

Very nice place you've got there Joe.
I went over my neighbours garage where he makes things like bases, bird boxes etc and it was a right mess

Lol Ian, mine doesn't stay clean either when work is underway but I don't let the sawdust pile up too high or it's a fire hazard... lol!!!
