I haven't been completely idle but here are a few pics of the Spitfire MKIX, a nice little build but the decals are a bit thick and I'm having trouble getting them to sit in the panel lines where I have ran a blade along them. Decal softener hasn't helped so I'm thinking of using some diluted PVA.

That should work. Rub it with a cotton swab but try to not damage the softening decal.

Beautiful bird! If the softer doesn't work, try my Hail Mary play on decals like that which are too thick to sink into crevices or that curl up incessantly:

Tamiya Extra Thin applied extremely sparingly.

Yes, you read that right. I've had to use that at lease six times now.

Thanks to all, I managed to get the decals to stay in place by using varnish under the loose bits. I was worried about the edges of the decals showing but two coats of the matt varnish fixed that problem. All in all I'm happy with this and it is a kit and make worth buying. IMHO.
