I am ALWAYS down for a good Luftwaffe build. I really like what you've done with this Jed. Those mottle patterns are always a bear but looks like you got it all under control buddy. The only thing I see (and this is minor) is that the swastika is supposed to be turned about 45 degrees from the way you have 'em now on the tail fin. Sorry to hear about the canopy blues but your detailing and painting turned out great.

The swastika came as a two part transfer ( I guess due to some sort of law somewhere) and I was more concerned with lining up the two parts. It took me a while to figure out how they worked but it was pretty obvious once I had!!!!

Yeah, due to laws in Germany which state that the swastika cannot be displayed; manufacturers have had to do an end run around it so we can have historically accurate models in other countries. I'd say you lined the two parts up extremely well; I never would have taken that as a two-part decal.
Way to go and keep them coming!

Yup...they do that with the swastika in some kits and I'm not much of a fan of it either. I ended up purchasing a sheet of swastikas some time back to avoid the two-part issue all together.

The Komet came out beautiful, Jed. The paintjob and weathering are top notch. Sorry about the canopy, but that's minor compared to the overall finish.

Sensational work! If you wanted to make a diorama with this, you could always toss a tarp over the canopy as if it had been covered before being towed out by the 'krad.
Just a crazy idea...
