1/48 F-111C "The PIG" by HobbyBoss

Hello guys it's been awhile. Things got crazy then I got distracted on other things blah blah blah LOL Anyway I'm back to modeling and feel better than ever hope you all are doing the same. 

I love the shape of this aircraft and built one alittle while back but it lacked a level of detail that I enjoy so I got a HobbyBoss version and some aftermarket to create a maintenance scene with ground crew. The RESKIT stuff is made in Ukraine so really luck to get it.

Its a brand new product. Quinta studios makes the best ones. They are 3d printed in color but what makes them so cool is that they are 3d so the buttons, gauges, switches are printed in scale as well. I don't know how they do it but my days of paining panels are over. Check out my new progress for examples.

I'm frickin' dying to try a set of those Quinta Decals!! I've seen 'em used elsewhere and they really bring out alot in scale cockpits. You really pulled out all the stops in the detail department for this build and that engine is certainly no exception. I'm with you on always liking the lines of this beautiful aircraft and can't wait to see what you've got in store for it.

I am not usually a big fan of PE seatbelts but I thought these turned out pretty good.


Check out those 3d decals. Pretty cool. My days of hand painting cockpits are over. 


The fit on this RESKIT cockpit was amazing. Sad they are probably no more since they are located in Kiev Ukraine.


Anyone know why the Airforce painted seat headrest red? 








The engine kit from Blackdog did not fit well at all. I looked everywhere to see if it was for a specific kit but couldn't find any info. I got they to work but in the future I will go with something else.

Part of the RESKIT exhaust. The rest of the kit is for a Academy kit that does not come with engines.




The wings are pretty cool looking with the flaps down.


The electronics bays will be open for the display.

That's about it. I'm waiting on supplies from Scale Hobbyist due Thursday so I can start painting. Thank you for the comments guys.

Beautiful build. Love that plane. I saw one fly over years back and remembered how loud it was, awesome! Been checking those 3d decals out, definitely gonna order some of those in the future.
