And honestly, I would enter something more often but I go on "hate to paint" spells and don't finish anything for months. As for the "like" button: I'm with the Duke: I want to acknowledge something but may simply not have time to type out a considered response. There's a couple of threads on various forums I follow that I'd love to weigh in on, but time can be short. You're a good friend of mine as far as I'm concerned Russ and I mean no disrespect when I say the following....it's just my own view point about the "like button". I use the like button for an attention getter mostly. If I've commented on somebody's build or have a question for them about their build I'll often use the "like" button to draw their attention to it. Particularly if it's one of the OP's older threads. If, however, I don't have time to post a response to a build or post I won't hit the like button. If I've got something to say I'll say it or I'll wait till I have an opportunity. I look at it like this.....we put time into our builds and take the time to post our progress and completions. It's worth at least some sort of response.

That makes sense. And no disrespect taken, we're all different and have our own "likes".... sorry.

This is that kind of place. If people can't exchange opinions, what's the use? To illustrate, there's a thread going on over on Armorama about improving the old Tamiya Sheridan, and the guy got flamed, something about why "waste money when there's a better kit out" and then of course it got petty. Gee whiz Wally. I was gonna chip in because I just really love improving old kits, but I decided not to throw gas on the fire. But, I'm hi-jacking now. MoM is a good idea and fun, no matter how it's organized. Now I'm going to finish something.

Excellent comments here and thank you Bucky for the clarification. And when it comes to the contests GBK, I would believe it's a participation, or group building activity among all the friends here. It's not like we get a permanent award like a medal or certificate; the point is not to win but to contribute to an activity to help build more camaraderie. Anyway, that's how I see the point you seem to be missing. Of course, I could be wrong but it seems to me having a 'contest' where everyone decides what is shown is a much better way of showing off great work on the banner heading than just having an admin choose one. That doesn't build the camaraderie like a contest of this type does.

Now you guys are missing my point. I never, anywhere, in any response said the model should be chosen by an Admin. I merely suggested that as members submitted photos you could post em up in the order you get em. You guys asked for opinions and I gave one. You guys asked for and talk about participation so I did so. I just ask that you get what I say correct. I am sure that you guys will work this out in a way you see fit I will go along with what ever decision you make.

My apologies GBK, I didn't mean to misinterpret you. I also greatly appreciate your participation. You are one of my favorite people on these boards here. Your idea about posting the pics as they come in is a good one too. Perhaps a combination of this idea with the MOM could be done somehow. I leave it to others to hash that out.
