This is Tamiya's R 35 kit in 1:35 scale, a typical shake'n bake. The build went flawless as I didn't have a single fit issue. I purchased the colours for the camouflage which looks pretty deranged. The turret was masked with Blu tack. I think it comes out good enough, next is the black lining. The hull is ready for masking.

Nice work on a complex pattern, the fact that this is a tiny thing likely makes it more difficult.
Looking at the painting guide I can't help but think it's no wonder WW II French tanks got blown up; painted thus they'd stand out like a sore thumb
Regards, Mark

Good ol' Tamiya kits. You just can't go wrong with 'em (with few exceptions). Great start on that camo.

I'm with Reserve, an excellent start on a complex paint pattern. The French were famous for them, as were all parties during the Great War.

Excellent camo work. Are you going to freehand the black?

Excellent camo work. Are you going to freehand the black? I second Tim's thoughts. These machines weren't painted with spray equipment other than the base color at the factory. Freehand painting for the black is entirely consistent with Private Croissant being handed a 100mm-wide brush and told to outline every place two or more colors touched.

Did they camouflage a tank or decorate a cake?

Thank you guys, I had a great time reading your replies😂 The camo looks just idiotic but it was fun to do, and time consuming as well. The lining by brush. Thanks for the info btw Beekster! The hull camo'd. Decals added.

Thank you. I'm building the base while the paint on the tank is drying.

Wow! This is SO MUCH better than the old Heller kit I build back in the early 2000's. Well done! She looks fantastic!
