Glad you like it, Jed! Now I just need to keep it in one piece. It's a rather fragile beast, especially the tracks. I think I've figured out how to box it up with foam for transport to a show, if we ever have those again, but moving it will always be stressful.

Good luck with the packaging, I'd be far too nervous!!

Thanks, Tobi! This machine has been something of an obsession of mine. I saw them outside the factory when I was a kid, recognizing the Sherman suspension without knowing what they were. That came later, as did the opportunity to get a sales brochure, production record, operator's manual, and a lot of photographic reference. These were and are excellent yarders, still going strong nearly fifty years after the first were built.

Splendid results on an unusual and difficult subject sir.

Over? Well, that one is, and I'm pleased and I learned a lot over the course of the project. But there's that second one already in progress, with challenges all its own. Just can't help myself!

Crazy busy work my friend!!! And all of it very difficult to see on the finished model, naturally! For the front clutches & brakes, I have to lift & hold the superstructure box out of the way because the small winch line is fixed in place as a result of the superglue mishap. The stuff at the rear can be seen when the screen door is open, but you still need a flashlight to see deep in there.
