This Barracuda was purchased in the mid 1970’s. At that time I built it as a drag racer with a drag type front suspension. It didn’t survive. It is time to rebuild it. I will be customizing it inside and out! This is what is left of my Miss Mighty Mopar model. I removed the hump in the middle of the front of the car. The 1968 hood fits nicely. I decided to make a new grill. I used styrene strips .125” wide by .010” thick. I cut them to fit behind the grill openings. I also cut little pieces as spacers between the slats. After filing the center divider and the outer edges of the grill openings to be vertical, I used .040 square rod to make a frame for the body putty to touch. I do not want the square pieces to be seen. So I put putty around the openings. It looks a little rough now, but I will smooth it out. Now for the back of the car. I am taking advantage of the recessed area for the tail lights. The plastic pieces all will be red. I got the tail lights from 4 badge holders from work. I am also going to keep the round pieces for other models. The engine is a 340 from the Dodge Dart kit. That Dart will get the Hemi that is in that kit. I think that is it for now. I will keep posting my progress!

Thank you very much! The next thing I want to do is to look through all of the models in my stash, and get all of the custom parts together to choose parts for this car. That should be fun. I have 90+ cars to look at!
