Can anyone recommend any tape or similar thing that can go around curves glued in place and then be painted.

I'm not exactly sure of what you're asking for. There are numerous tapes that will "bend" horizontally and vertically. Many of them are classified as "low-tack" tape which work very well on painted surfaces. However, I'm not certain this is what you're asking for. Do you have any examples?

It's for a edging on a grill to mimic the smooth outside part that holds it on. |

86??? You don't look a day over 20 in that pic! LMAO!!! Thank you, I've just checked and it was 87 I remember it was a couple of weeks after they had a really bad heat wave which killed over 1k people. So that would have made me 21 and a half. |

The narrow width Tamiya tapes work well for me.
