Seriously though, that is some serious Grand Mastery going on there, no wonder you took Best of Show again! I'm trying to get a 1/72 scale MRAP myself, I can only hope it turns out half a good as my M-ATV....

I've never heard of it, sounds like a great event, in SPK at the VA, correct?

Awesome Jon, congrats, and well earned. Funny, they won't let you enter again which means there's no competition. Can't beat that, great job! I've never heard of it, sounds like a great event, in SPK at the VA, correct? The event is held at the reginal level at the VA in Spokane. Various types of art are accepted more this year than last which had over 10k. Model building is one of the categories. If you place in the reginal you qualify for the nationals in Florida. I don't know the exact numbers this year but it has increased substantially do to all the stay at home time. Two years ago was the first year I entered and honestly I did it just to connect with other modelers and too eventually start a model club. Last year I won with the 1/32 A-6. Its big and regardless of modeling skill is impressive to say the least. So I was more than just a little surprised that I even won again especially with the MRAP. They don't allow dioramas of any kind so my best work was left at home. This is not a IPMS show by any means but it sure gets me a lot of commission work. |
