This project is a conversion from a 1969 to a 1968 Barracuda. I bought the conversion kit from Hart’s Parts. The rest is a 1969 kit. I will build this Barracuda to look like the one I drove in high school. The first thing I did was to cut the front of the car off. Then glue the new front piece on. I now have a 1968 Barracuda! Time to make the side marker lights. A friend said he uses a thin plastic tube. The one I found is about the same size as the lights on my original 1968 Barracuda. I cut four pieces out. Glued them to the car. Filed them to the correct thickness. 1969 on the left. 1968 on the right. 1968 on top. 1969 on bottom.

Last Monday I worked on the seats of my Barracuda. They now look like the seats that were in my real Barracuda! It was hard to find the small pattern material. I am happy with the results! I did not use much of the 1 yard of this material. Looks like I will be upholstering more seats, or applying a vinyl top.

Why is my finger more sticky to glue than the plastic?

The next thing to do is to paint the body. I will paint this and a few others when the weather gets warm. I do my painting outside. I will post pictures as I work on it (probably this coming summer).
