Washitonians call the Stellar's Jay a Blue Jay, not to be confused with the Mid-Westers Blue Jay.

There is also the Clark's Nutcracker you see in the Cascades that is grey and many people confuse with the Canadian Jay...

We have a Jay but not blue, a very nervous bird that doesn't hang about for long

That is one cool tweety, Joe! I do remember a few years back in the summer we actually had a red Cardinal, gorgeous he was, and his song was cool.
Almost time to put out the bird feed once the snow flies.
